When I first visited the Ambassador, Naresh Uncle, with his Fox candy, his loving smile, his avuncular care, and his service (which I believe is the epitome of Tajness), defined Larry’s China 🙂
It has been years, and today, all of those things and more, are carried forward by his son, Atul, now the Manager at Larry’s China, one of the longest standing team members at the Ambassador, a friend for years, a good soul, and someone who may well be one of five reasons I refuse to stop calling the Taj Ambassador home.
This along with Gaurav Ji at the coffee shop, Kishan Ji at the Lobby, Lakshmi Ji who heads Housekeeping and Guest Services, and Ranjan, now a friend and one of their team leads, even as others around them have come and gone.
Thank you always, Jaspreet, Aakash, (Satish) Rana Ji, Kishan Ji, Gaurav Ji, Lakshmi Ji, Ranjan, Inderpal Ji, and so many others, who make/have-made every visit to the Ambassador special!

Larry’s does this retro Chinese restaurant thing and it does succeed to some extent but not entirely. The decor looks tired, the food is ok not great, the Dimsums and some of the other starters were decidedly mid etc etc. Overall it just about touches a rating of 4, since 3 seems a little harsh in this case

Recently, we dined at Larry’s China, and it was a delightful experience. The food, prepared by Chef Madan and his talented team, was simply amazing. The ambience exuded an authentic oriental charm, making the evening even more special. The service provided by Rose, Nagraj, and Atul was courteous and attentive. Although parking was initially a challenge, the staff went above and beyond to assist us. Highly recommend!

This is a quiet Chinese restaurant inside the Ambassador Hotel. The food is reasonably good, and service is very friendly. We loved their Manchia soup, Kung Pao vegetables and burnt garlic fried rice.
They have a surprisingly good live musician on weekends who croons old American pop songs.
