Wild West decor, hilarious history on the walls, REASONABLY priced drinks. This is a “resort” lake town so prices elsewhere are stupid.
Just passing thru but they still make you feel like a local.

Seemed like a cool atmosphere, however after waiting for 20 minutes with no one taking our order we decided to reach out to the waitress. She was unfriendly and said it’s going to be a while (they weren’t even busy!) So after another 15 minutes of waiting we left. After a long day of hiking we aren’t asking for super quick service, but the staff were not friendly. The other restaurants on the strip were great though!

I’m from the Denver metro area, myself and a group of couples make a trip to Granby every summer. We decided to venture out and try a few local bars, we started our night at the Lariat. We were met by a hostile environment, and were actually refused serve. A large percentage of our group were people of color, the bartenders told us they were “very busy” although there were open bar stools. We were a group of ten people, all ready to spend money and enjoy out night. We all decided to leave, one of the workers followed us out asking why we decided to leave. He then called us profanities, and asked us to “meet him out back”. Very embarrassing and toxic environment, if you’re willing to spend money I would recommend to go anywhere but here!

Google Maps says this place is open till midnight. Doors locked with a vague hand written note about reopening soon at 8pm when we walked to the place.
Don’t lure people to your establishment if you aren’t even open, update your hours online.
Also, I did get a laugh out of this owner attacking rightfully annoyed customers on the review comments.
When the same themes keep coming up, it’s likely your business/staff not the lost customers.

The burger is ok. The fries are fantastic. A locals bar that is open late. Meet everyone who actually lives and works at the other restaurants in town after hours.

Came by on a Monday night with family while visiting the area. One of the few places open past 8 PM. We had a blast! The bartender Chris was just awesome! We felt welcomed. We played a lot of pool and some foosball. Strongly recommend their keg tater tots filled with cheese. It’s definitely worth swinging by, especially if you are lucky enough to see Chris behind the bar!

They ignored us and when we left after getting no service they told us to come back in and stop acting like (slurs). So disrespectful and unprofessional

I would give this less than 1 star if possible. Dustin definitely doesn’t understand how to run a business. It shows when no one is in there on a Saturday at peak hours. 1.25 for fooseball and receive 5 balls. Game plays to 8. Dumbest management in grand lake for an example.

Almost all of the food we had was fantastic. Brisket, sweet potato, prime rib sandwich, cream of chicken soup, eggs, and steak all fantastic. Chicken wings were not that good. Not sure why. Service was friendly super fun at the bar. Not the fastest but we weren’t in a hurry. The patrons at the bar from town were hilarious as was the bartender. We had so much fun we went back the next day and most of the same patrons and workers were there again. Was fun again! I highly recommend going here and eating at the bar.

What a great experience! Coming from Denver for the weekend with friends and had to watch the Avs play. The bartender Chris, was amazing. Dude was busy as heck and still managed to take care of us. First time here, and will definitely come back to say hello and hello to the pup Haus!
