You get what you pay for though.
I got salad with my ham, cheese, tomato toastie. Over the top, I’d say.
But I appreciate that they have a point of difference.
Lovely people. Inside and outside seating.
Small flat white coffee with an extra shot. Slightly earthy taste. No bitterness or sourness Perfect temperature. Hot chocolate was outstanding. Best ever?
Save & share this for your island coffee list ☕✨
Walking into LaPérouse feels like stepping onto Rue de Rivoli… but somehow you’re still on a subtropical island
Yes, it’s not the cheapest spot on Norfolk — but you truly get what you pay for.
The French pastries look absolutely perfect — like artwork behind the glass.
The omelette and toastie? Beautifully plated, generous, and full of flavour. (Even the toastie comes with salad — a little “extra,” but I appreciate the point of difference.)
☕ My small flat white with an extra shot had a smooth, slightly earthy note — no bitterness, no sourness, perfect temperature.
And the hot chocolate? Possibly the best on the island. Rich. Deep. Memorable.
The ambiance is refined and elegant. Staff dressed with panache. Everything clean, polished, intentional. There’s even a piano inside — tell me, how many French cafés on remote islands have that? ✨
Located conveniently near the airport, with both indoor and outdoor seating, this place delivers a true French experience with island charm.
Would you pay a little more for quality and atmosphere like this? ☕
