Listen I have been coming to this location since they opened. Their food is normally excellent. Lately, it has been subpar. What is my final straw is the greens being too salty. It has accord 2 or so times and at this point something is not right. I’ve never seen greens cook this much down that the shredded with a fork. But more so the salty taste is ridiculous, like they used salt to cover up something. Service is always good (when they answer the phone) I recommend all their dishes but the greens. I can’t even eat them nor feed this to my kids.

I love it here! They never disappoint; they always on point. Customer service is always on point and fast. Sad y’all was closed today was really looking forward to some soul food. Prices are great for the amount of food you get as well. Not to expensive and worth it!

Lape is not what it used to be. It’s fair and I go maybe once a quarter. Lately, the macaroni hasn’t been worth the calories. The chicken is good. The greens are OK.

I finally stopped in today, and here’s my honest review:
• Customer Service: — I was greeted so nicely. The cashier was very friendly, and service was prompt.
• Food Quality: Hot, fresh, and the portions are huge! Definitely enough to feed two people.
Here’s what I ordered: rib tips, yams, collard greens, and cornbread dressing with gravy.
• Rib Tips: Tender, but could use more flavor.. the sauce saved it, but I’d rate them a 6/10. Still enjoyable!
• Collard Greens: Packed with flavor and tender, but I like to see some meat in mines 8/10.
• Yams: On the basic side, but I love yams, so I didn’t mind. Sweet, not overly so, though I personally like them dripping in cinnamon-sugar sauce. Still, solid 8/10. It had like a sweet aftertaste
• Cornbread Dressing: 10/10 — hands down the star of the plate. Perfectly moist and seasoned. Haven’t had dressing this good in a long time!
Overall, this was a really good experience. I’ll definitely be back, and I recommend this spot if you’re looking for hearty portions and great flavor.

I stop at Lape every time I’m in Warren for a few days. They never disappoint. Today, I had the oxtails with greens and red beans&rice. The 7up pound cake was awesome. Service is always good, and you never wait too long

This is my first time visiting this place. The food is a 4/5 for me. Spaghetti is a little soupy and on the salty sides. The macaroni and cheese is on the basic side. The bbq rib tips are VERY good and meaty! Still good food overall.

From the south, in town for business and was looking for some good ole soul food. Had many Google results to choose from but this place was the closest. After reading the reviews, I was thinking that my experience could go either way with the customer service. Well, I had a great experience. Walked in looked at the wall menu, went to the cashier and ordered. She was pleasant enough. Waited 15 minutes in my car and then went inside to see my food already bagged and ready. Food was very flavorful and the baked chicken was falling off the bone. The potatoes were more of a “sweet potato” flavor than “yams,” but good nonetheless. I would definitely visit again!

Been here twice & both times the same cashier was unprofessional and rude. The first time, the food was decent. The second time, it was horrible. I’m not sure if the meat I had was turkey chops because it looked like chicken strips and was real fatty. I will not return again.
