the service was fast, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. prices were reasonable, and portion sizes were solid, making it a good value overall

the roti was nicely layered with a satisfying char and was especially delicious when dipped into the red curry

the crying tiger steak was easily the highlight of the meal. it was cooked to the perfect doneness, very tender, and had a great balance of lean and fatty pieces

the drunken noodles had a great texture, not too hard or mushy, and weren’t overly oily. there were plenty of vegetables mixed in, which we appreciated. however, it wasn’t spicy at all 🙁

the basil chicken was similar in that sense. the basil was very fragrant and aromatic, and there was a generous amount of meat, but again, it lacked any real spice

the red curry leaned too sweet for our taste and was heavy on the coconut, which overpowered the curry flavor we were hoping for

for dessert, the mango sticky rice had a strong coconut flavor and the mango itself was soft and sweet, but the sticky rice felt slightly undercooked

the nam vaan was refreshing and packed with jelly and tropical fruits, making it fun to eat, but it was overwhelmingly sweet

in all, the food was decent, but we were hoping for bolder flavors and more heat. the dishes could benefit from more depth, balance, and spice to really elevate the experience!

A great place on bellaire food street. You go in, get a table and scan a qr code to order and pay. The staff is energetic and outgoing.
I’ve had several dishes and they were good, but the laab steak is on a whole other level. The combination of the seared steak flavor and the lime based sauce explodes with a flavor intesity you don’t often find. The sauce is so good i eat everything it touches. I could go on and on about it as its now one of my favorite dishes anywhere. We’ll worth the price.

The food was EXCELLENT! Never had Nam Khao before but was pleasantly surprised by the portions and textures/tastes. The Papaya salad tasted fermented but whatever spices in that was wonderful as well. The biggest star today though, was the service:

Originally I pulled in because my original restaurant plans fell through, my car had issues, and I was on a TIGHT deadline for lunch. The waiter (hate not saying his name but this was a blur so sorry for not remembering) once he knew I was in a rush did everything possible to accommodate me. I wish I could’ve tipped more because in such an unforgiving world having staff overall this welcoming is such a bright spot in a dim world right now.

First time here and I can’t wait to try more things! They have a really interesting and delicious menu. I ordered the lunch box special and chose the crack belly (so good!). I ordered it crispy and it came out perfect. The papaya salad was really tasty as well. I want to try the steak tiger cry, drunken noodles, khao poon and “Curria” tacos. Decisions decisions..

I come here specifically for the crack belly. But, the atmosphere and friendly staff keeps me coming in instead of door-dashing. The crack belly is to die for. The spicy is perfect for those that like a nice kick. However, if you’re a spice fanatic you can request for it to be extra spicy and it makes you sweat. If you are not a spicy connoisseur they do have mild and medium levels. I prefer medium when I’m not adventurous. The crispy cheese rolls are delicious but for appetizers you have to try their Lao’d Jerky. Be warned that sauce has a good kick and will make your eyes water. Without the sauce it tastes like teriyaki jerky and is delicious. I come here consistently and plan to bring all of my friends and family.

I came here as i saw the google review was 4.7.

It was dead when we were there around 2pm.

Server was very friendly. Mentioned the phone based menu was the way to go and phone based ordering was not always working well.

I ordered the basil Thai chicken lunch combo. There was an up charge for chicken(over jerky)

Chicken came out like ground chicken with seasoning on it. Very meh. See pics.

Meal was $20 or so. Upcharge for many of the combinations like meats and drinks.

Place was clean.

For a Lao place, they were playing a mix of Mexican and rap music…. Very out of place.

I hope this review helps.

Not sure how this place got a 4.7 star review.

Again server was doing what he could to be nice and attentive. 🙂

Stopped here for the $16 lunch special that’s advertised but it ended up being $19-20 a plate. The plates have a good serving but the noodles and rice were overcooked. Overall nice flavor but disappointing: Papaya salad was very good, drunken noodles soggy, basil chicken was alright, Vietnamese coffee too sweet, server was nice.

My husband and granddaughter came here and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had Tiger Cried and a crunchy rice dish. The service was great and the restaurant clean and bright.

We parked in the nearby garage. There was no wait. We were here on a Tuesday night. We know it is often very busy here on weekends.

We will definitely come back!

Great experience. All 4 dishes we ordered were delicious, great depth of flavor and presentation. Ordering on our phones was easy and food came out quickly. Veggies in the drunken noodles were still crisp, spice levels were spot on and drinks were great too. Really enjoyed the sous vide steak and the pork belly!
