We needed something to grab and go for a nice picnic at the beach and heard great things about Lao Sticky Rice. We ordered 2x Thai Shrimp Summer Rolls and they had a special on Sticky Rice dessert ($5 for 3 desserts). Our favorite: Pandan Mochi! Then, Banana Sticky Rice and original sticky rice. Will absolutely be going back for more.

This was on my list to visit while staying in Waianae after reading the great reviews. We had the pork shrimp combo summer rolls, sticky rice with taro wrapped in banana leaves, blue papillon flower tea, sorrel flower tea & Thai coffee. The teas were so good & refreshing… and tasted fresh & healthy too – not overly sweet. Both food items were excellent! The owner was so nice, and gave us a free sticky rice. We came in at a busy time and weren’t expecting to wait as long as we did (about 20 minutes), but didn’t mind as it only meant that the food & drinks are freshly made. Do it give it a try!

You can’t beat delicious food for under $9 bucks a plate!! The place is clean, offers fresh produce for sale and the dishes are all fresh veggies and your choice of protein. The star was the Bahn mi pate sandwich. I grew up on Little Paris Bahn mi and the bread is one of the hardest things to get right. They have excellent bread here, best Ive had in a long time. Fresh, soft and the top isn’t so hard that it cuts your mouth. Will be going back for the sandwich and the summer rolls. Also, anytime you can get fresh perfectly ripe mangos in Makaha it’s an out of this world experience. Get the mango sticky rice.

Stopped by after a day at the beach. Yum! Refreshing pineapple honey tea boba! Ordered fresh shrimp spring rolls w peanut sauce which were perfect! The pate banh mi was incredible. They ran out of mango but the banana sticky rice was delicious! Definitely a worth a visit!
