We moved away from Dumas down years ago, & no one here in SETX makes the red sauce for sticky rice. Every time we come visit, we buy as much as we can to bring back home. Nothing compares to the treat of sticky rice & red sauce. It is 1 of the highlights of visiting our home town.

Had a coworker recommend this to me. I ordered a chicken and sticky rice plate and a combo pad tai plate. The chicken and sticky rice is better value because it comes with two decent sized drum sticks and a cup of rice. I got both red and green sauces on the side. The red one is good. The green one is very very salty.

The pad tai was subpar. There was maybe 3-4 oz of meat. The chicken smelled and tasted weird. The beef was cold. The noodles themselves were ok.

They use stock photos for their menu, we were shocked when we saw the food we got. We ordered chicken pad Thai & pork fried rice. It was beige not a single vegetable in sight, it seemed as if they had run out of everything and still decided to take our order & money. The poorest excuse for Thai food.

Based off the other review not sure it’s the same place, absolutely no line when we went. I thoroughly enjoyed the chow mein and chicken with sticky rice. My wife on the other hand, didn’t care for the chow mein but thought the chicken and sticky rice was one of the best things she’s ever had. The kids enjoyed both dishes, i think they really liked eating the sticky rice with their hands. If we ever pass through town again I’m sure we’ll be stopping by again for more sticky rice.

Good food just wish it wasn’t cash only. I hardly have cash on me and cards/cash app would be nice!

I was a student that frequently visited this truck for only the sticky rice and chicken with its red sauce. An American friend of mine recommended this place to me and it took some time before he could successful convince me to go there. On my very first day, it felt like my tastebuds were refreshed and overjoyed.

People said I would get over it because it would just taste the same. Next thing I knew, I was going there for nearly the whole school year.(You can even see me on the Google map!) Their staffs were very respectful and took orders without hesitation, I was never the type to confidently speak to others in public. As for its atmosphere, the other people waiting in line sure had caused me some trouble (only the students) as they would often cut in line saying it’s “a joke”, and would beg me to lend my cash to them, and not to forget, they would even comment to me if I get offered discounts due to my Asian race. There was this time where someone behind me went ahead and spoke out their orders first before I could, of course I couldn’t retaliate because I was too nervous to. Overall, I enjoyed the food very much and could never stop thinking about it even to this day even if I have moved to a distant place away from Texas.

So the wait is really long. One would think that this is the best food in town. First of all, understand, this town has lots and lots of good food. Mexican, American, and Japanese. Excellent. This place is all hype. The place next-door is way better. I waited a week and a half to finally get in a line that wasn’t too extreme. And it’s simply just some average Chinese food. I’m not complaining. I’m not hungry anymore. But it is just simply very regular average food. And my buddies that try to earlier this week told me it’s just some average food. But me being a foodie had to see what the hype was about. It literally is just regular Chinese food. Perhaps even below average. Did I say this place was just average. Yes it’s average extremely average disappointingly average.

Do not eat here. For $11 I expect to get sweet and sour sauce that tastes like sweet and sour, not sweet sour and spicy. It also came with hot sauce and salsa for some reason. The rice was wrapped in plastic wrap like I had just bought it at the store myself. I also had a wonton, but it didn’t have any filling. It was like they didn’t try at all.

My friend bought the pad tai and was just as disappointed. No peanuts, weak flavor, and not much shrimp. All around a bad experience.

Super friendly local people, serving great food. Just about everything they have is good. Their sticky rice & chicken is popular with red sauce. Their fried rice, dancing shrimp & everything else is really good too. Definitely recommend.
