Attending the Yelp elite event at Laos Bar was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, I was taken by the minimalistic yet modern decor that, despite not boasting a plethora of bright colors, managed to create a warm and inviting ambiance.
The food was nothing short of exceptional. The spring rolls and chicken wings stood out with their burst of amazing flavors, easily making them my top picks of the evening. What I especially appreciated was the wide array of vegetarian options they offered, ensuring that everyone’s palate was catered to.
For those who enjoy a kick in their drinks, the spicy margarita is a must-try. It added just the right amount of heat, making it a perfect accompaniment to the meal.
Lastly, I can’t end this review without praising the wonderful staff. Not only were they well-versed with the menu, but their insights into the origins of the restaurant concept added a personal touch to the experience, making it all the more memorable.
Definitely a place I’d recommend and revisit! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Delicious Lao food served in very nice and serene settings! Went here with family on a short trip to Greensboro and was happy with the awesome food and service. Must try their baked mussels, papaya salad and chicken Laab. Bell was our server and he was super sweet and courteous. Portions we’re good sized and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend this place if you are in downtown Greensboro!

First time been there. My son who lives in Greensboro was recommended by friend, and he took us while we visited him.
The restaurant was in the middle of downtown among with so many other restaurants. Entrance was quite small but after passing long corridors, the dining room was there.
It was our first time to eat Laotian food. So we asked for recommendations. All the food was quite spicy yet it was really tasty. Lastly, we ordered sticky mango rice. It was sweet and very nice.

The family really enjoyed the food here. The noodles were cooked al dente and the taste of the dish was excellent. The ‘money bags’ were delicious. Note that the pictures of the food were taken after everyone had started to dig it (they couldn’t seem to wait!). Highly recommended. The service was excellent as well!

We had a great experience stopping here for dinner before an event at Steven Tanger Center. The drinks and the food were quite good! Loved the Banh Mi Fries and the Lettuce wraps. A tapas plate and an entree are a decent portion for two people.

Great experience! Quick seating and service. The chicken satay is a nice lite appetizer. The peanut butter sauce went great on everything. The other sauce was great for cleansing the palette. The wings came breaded with a Sriracha mayo on the side. The waitress mentioned the green chili sauce for more heat.
The Kau Probang was very tasty. Rich savory beef skirt steak bites with green beans and green onions. I went with the sticky rice over the jasmine for a more authentic touch. They have a spice sampler plate if you enjoy heat.. it normally comes with the green chili sauce. Since I already had that with the wings the waitress added peanuts and cucumber slices as a palette cleanser.
My date had the Kua Mee with pork belly. I had a taste and it was very good as well. The lome slices add a bright acidic note to the sweet and savory dish. She mentioned it being spicy to her. I didn’t notice but I had already sampled other spices.
We both had a beer at the start. She had a bright cider and I had a bourbon barrel aged amber. Both paired nicely with our meals. Not wanting another beer, I was driving that night, I got a traditional milk tea. It had smokey notes mixing and swirling in the creamy milk. It helped counter the spices.

Awesome food for downtown asian hot spot. Super fresh ingredients and you can ask for traditional style for a taste of the real thing! Surprisingly great bar and although our group came in for lunch I can wait to update our dinner experience.

We loved our meal here and the excellent service. Glad to have something so nice in the former location of Crafted. I got the chicken laab salad which had the perfect combination of spices and fresh vegetables. My dad got the red curry and loved it, though beware it is quite spicy. Will be back soon to try more menu items and their cocktails. Love the Laos map up front!

Servers were nice but service was very slow. Very small food menu. Sausage was overcooked and dry but flavorful. The sauce on the food overpowered the protein, the duck was overcooked. No sides came with the traditional entrees and we had to ask to add rice to our order. We have been excited to try this spot but unfortunately will not be back. Beautiful location, we spent just over $100 for two people.
