Lao Hu Tong’s rendition of soup dumplings brings flavor and excellent wrappings. Tried the pork truffle soup dumplings, they were nice and savory with a sauce on the side to provide some bite.
The other dishes on this visit were also solid choices. The shrimp pot stickers come in a sheet of crispy, crunchy fried goodness. The vegetable stir fried noodles had a nice chew and plenty of veggies.
Added freshness to the meal with a side of the spicy cucumbers. They had a savory yet spiced sauce that goes well with the fresh cucumber slices.
Tried the chocolate buns for dessert. They were definitely creative but I’m not sure if I’d get those again.
Service is friendly and the restaurant has vibrant decor. My only note is that the spicy sauce on the table really wasn’t that spicy. Maybe I can ask for spicier sauce on the side for a future visit. I’ll definitely be back!
For two of us, we ordered the combo soup dumplings, fried bao buns, bok choy, Dan Dan noodles, wonton soup, chicken wings, cucumbers, custard buns, and chocolate buns. Oh, yeah, and for dessert, another order of the combo soup dumplings. Everything was delish. We were told that we were ordering too much, but they did not realize our abilities!
The dumplings’ skins were thin, but sturdy. Not thick and chewy! The broth – outstanding! The buns were so light and fluffy, they melted in my mouth!! Fried chicken wings – sweet, spicy, & sticky! Really crunchy too! The chocolate buns are a standout too! Dan Dan noodles were okay. I really had to flavor them with the table sauces.
Service was excellent. Food came out fast too. Looking forward to returning this week!
(Camera didn’t eat first today! We jumped right in!)
The fresh dan dan and jjajang noodles were so flavorful and comforting. You can really taste that they’re made fresh. The fried bao bun is my absolute favorite. And the duck? Perfect. Super crispy skin but still moist and juicy at the same time.
Portion sizes are generous, everything came out hot, quick, and I enjoyed every single dish I ordered. This is officially my new go-to spot, and I already can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Their scallion pancakes are very tasty. Their fried pork bun, pork noodles and their chicken wonton soup were all great.
We picked up our orders so far but the service we received at the counter has been very friendly and the orders were all prepared and packaged accurately.
Next time we will look to dine in.
The food was excellent across the board, and the flavors really stood out. If you’re looking for bold, satisfying Asian cuisine with great variety, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!
The food tasted great and the portions are perfect for sharing. We especially loved the cucumber appetizer so refreshing and flavorful. The dim sum soup was also delicious!
Overall, we truly enjoyed our visit. I highly recommend this restaurant, and we will definitely be back again… and bringing some friends next time!
