Great choice of dishes & helpful staff.
I ate dinner here on a busy weeknight, as most other places were fairly empty. This was enough to get me to look at the menu and then have dinner here.
I had pork rice paper rolls as per the waitress’s recommendation. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, and the pork cut was well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. The waitress (I cannot remember her name) was very helpful in showing me the correct way to eat this!
I also had 2 for 1 cocktails from the list, I think this is from 17:00 to 19:00, which you can mix and match.
Plenty of tourists visiting for dinner, with a good selection of food and drinks drawing them in.

The food looks and tastes delicious, the restaurant is beautiful, colourful, clean and the vibe is amazing.
The staff is super welcoming and warm, always with a smile and the service is 11/10!
A shame we discovered it the last night otherwise we’d come here for every meal.
Best curry I had in 3 weeks in Vietnam, noodles were amazing too.. the food is super fresh. You can feel that there is a serious kitchen behind 🙂 ..and is incredibly cheap for the quality you get, have a look at the menu.
I couldn’t recommend it more.
If you are in Phong Nha make yourself a favour, come here for your first meal, you won’t go anywhere else. Trust me 🙂

What can I say about Lantern Vietnamese Restaurant? I already told them the dishes speak for themselves.
I stayed in Phong Nha for three nights and ended up eating here every single evening because the food was simply too good to go anywhere else. Every dish was absolutely amazing. full of flavor, fresh, and beautifully prepared.

We had an amazing experience at Lantern Vietnamese in Phong Nha. It was our first time trying Vietnamese hot pot, and it was absolutely delicious. We told the staff it was our first time, and they were incredibly kind explaining everything step by step, they even told us how to prepare the broth properly so we could make it at home!
The portions were very generous, the food was fresh and full of flavour, and the whole experience felt very special. The service was excellent, especially from Binh, our waiter, who was so friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome.
The atmosphere is warm and cozy. We came with our bags because we were leaving later by bus, and it was absolutely no problem at all.
We truly had a great time and an amazing meal. Highly recommend this place.

We have stayed here for 9 days and tried a lot of places. We chose this one from the others, because everything we tried was super delicious! And the prices were reasonable. We recomend shaksuka, salads which were super fresh, especially those on banana leaves. All the waitresses speak very good English and are very nice. We especially want to thank Nhi. She was really caring and attentive.

Thuong was very helpful. I asked for lobster which the restaurant didn’t sell, but the owner drove to buy us some fresh lobster which was cooked to perfection.

The server Nhi was outstanding and super friendly. She helped me with my order and we also had a nice chat together.

I highly recommend this restaurant, food was delicious and service was on point. I personally had Nhi serving me, she was so friendly and service was super quick and she made sure I had what I needed – she also gave me a mug of hot water to warm me up as I was shivering (I did not ask).
