I had a great experience at Lantern Sushi in Norwood. I ordered the sashimi plate along with the shrimp tempura roll and everything was very fresh and beautifully presented. The sashimi really stood out. The fish tasted high quality and the plating with microgreens and roe made it feel like a chef’s special.
The shrimp tempura roll was crispy with a nice balance of flavor and texture. I also started with miso soup and had a beer which paired well with the meal.
The atmosphere was relaxed and modern and the service was quick and friendly. Another thing I appreciated was how easy it was to park. There is always plenty of parking space nearby which makes stopping in very convenient.
Overall this is a great spot if you are looking for fresh sushi in the area. I would definitely come back to try more rolls.

Everything was delicious, our server, Britney, was friendly and helpful. The salmon was the best sushi I’ve ever eaten and I’ve eaten sushi all over the usa.
The venue had plenty of seating and seemed pretty popular.

We’ve only been here twice for takeout so far, and both times the food was amazing! The restaurant is very clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
We ordered the Black Dragon Roll 10/10, and the Philly roll is the best Philly roll I’ve ever had. The fried rock shrimp appetizer was delicious, the chicken fried rice was well seasoned (I loved the amount of pepper), and the spicy crispy tuna appetizer was incredible .
The yellowtail was absolutely delicious. very fresh with beautiful presentation. We also really liked the surf and turf roll, the blue crab avocado roll, and the Lantern Roll. Everything we’ve tried has been great. So happy to have found a really good sushi restaurant!
I’ll update my review after we’ve been a few more times. Will also be dining in next time.

Absolutely loved it! We moved to the Cottonville area last May and we are slowly but surely trying out new eateries. I was so excited to learn Norwood has hibachi. The price tag is a bit steeper than Sogo’s in Locust, but the food is far superior. Only downside is the shrimp sauce is a very small portion, but we know to ask for extra next time!

Started to call this a hidden gem but those who live in the area know The Lantern. Great food with some awesome specialty sushi rolls. Their hibachi is also really good. During this recent visit, we had a Lantern Roll and Firecracker rolls. Awesome; especially if you like al little heat. Music can be a little loud at times but on this visit, it was great so we could easily carry on a conversation. Our server, Sarah, did a great job of taking care of us.

The best place for Sushi and Japanese in the Norwood area! We eat here frequently and it’s great every time!! The specialties rolls and the hibachi plates are a favorite, but the appetizers like to Caviar aren’t to be over looked. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu!

Food was delicious! I got the katsu chicken cutlet. It was delicious and the breading was just crunchy enough. Their spring rolls were delicious and the sauce they came didnt taste store bought. Mybparents had the steak hibachi and said it was really good as well. Planning to come back to try their mochi ice cream.

This was my first time going here. Parking is behind the building- which took me a bit to figure out – I got take out – but the restaurant area looked pleasant, the server who assisted me was nice, all of my food was as good as I hoped it would be. They didn’t put any soy sauce packets in, and my sushi was still good without it! That is how good it was. It’ll definitely be somewhere I go again – one of the closer sushi place to me.
