Lanna Thai used to be our absolutely favorite Thai restaurant when we lived in Tulsa till 2016. When we visited on Nov 2nd, 2025, the edge seemed to have worn off a bit and though everything was nice, that ‘over and above’ was missing.
Their fried rice is still very good and the garlic chicken was good.
The On Shore noodle soup was still good, but the flat rice noodles were in one, big, inseparable clump. Someone in the kitchen put the noodles in the soup, right? They didn’t care that the noodles were one big inseparable clump? Disappointing… but we’d probably visit Lanna Thai again if we go to Tulsa.

Do Not come here if you want a timely response. I received an order through DoorDash and waited for two hours for it to be brought out to me, and it was just two small to-go containers… The staff is only concerned about dine-in orders and treats DoorDash drivers like roaches. I wasn’t even acknowledged until I spoke up after 45 minutes of sitting in their waiting lobby. Multiple orders were taken out before mine, and this isn’t the first time the wait has been this terrible. The owners seriously need to consider removing DoorDash as a feature or limiting order capacity, because listening to the other drivers’ horror stories from this place shows that change is NECESSARY. The staff could also be more interactive about how long they make you wait; after a while, you wonder if you’re forgotten, and if you ask, they tell you ‘one minute’ and to take a seat. Not a single ‘sorry for your wait’ or ‘thank you for your patience.’ God, please send help!

I had little say in where we would dine this weekend—my wife and daughter took the reins and chose Lanai Thai. Having heard whispers of good things, I was more than willing to tag along.

Given that it was a holiday weekend, I expected the place to be bustling, but to my surprise, it was pleasantly quiet. As soon as we stepped inside, we sensed that we were in for a treat. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and we were promptly seated. Our waitress swiftly arrived with a friendly smile, offering us drinks and appetizers.

Before diving into the menu, I decided to check out the restrooms—a detail some might overlook, but I find it can speak volumes about a restaurant’s attention to detail. While the facilities were clean, they could certainly benefit from a refresh. A minor flaw, but worth noting.

We thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company as we waited for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was well worth the anticipation. The presentation was appetizing, and the aromas that wafted from our dishes were tantalizing. We eagerly dug in, and the unanimous verdict was that the food was as delicious as it looked.

The staff at Lanai Thai truly enhanced our dining experience. They were not only courteous and attentive but also genuinely pleasant. Our waitress, in particular, shared with us why she enjoyed working there—a small but lovely detail that made our visit feel more personal.

As we finished our meal, we couldn’t help but speculate about what we might try the next time we return—because there will definitely be a next time. Thank you, Lanai Thai, for the delightful food and memorable evening!

I purchased beef fried rice, and it didn’t have any taste to it! It was supposed to be spicy and not even that!
On top of it, she charged me $16 dollars and had the audicity to ask me if I wanted my change back!
She seemed like she was prejudice or had an attitude because I informed her that I wanted my change back!
I use to be a faithful customer, but never again will I take my business there!
She very rude, and as I sat there waiting my order was just sitting there, like I was some kind of ghost!

Very unprofessional and no manner!
I’m going to post this experience on Facebook!

I just got back from Bangkok and ordered the krapao chicken with basil. It definitely Americanized here. Does not really compare to Thailand. I was a bit disappointed. I am spoiled having stayed in Bangkok for month and having real Thai food every day. Service is good. Clean place. Friendly

I was so disappointed with this restaurant that the waiter confused our food three times and the bill with the guests at the other table. We told the waiter that someone had a seafood allergy. We wanted to change the shrimp to regular meat, but they still mixed it into the food. We asked to make a new one, and the waiter looked a little mad. The portion of each meal was pitiful, and we told the waiter we wanted to share the dishes, but they did not give us some share spoons. There was too little when the food was served, not as much as shown in the pictures on Google Maps. You can see my photo in which we were given a pitiful amount of beef. The waiter was disrespectful to the customer at checkout, constantly looking at the numbers on my phone calculator and the POS machine, which put a lot of pressure on me to choose to tip.

Good atmosphere, kinda poor service for only 4 people in the building. The appetizer was alright, but the fried rice was pretty good. The price was higher and didn’t reflect on the flavor. Overall, try it for yourself.

Average Food and Service.
There was nothing wrong with the food at all, but the two meals we had just didn’t stand out as food that would cause me to come back. The service was also pretty average. The food server seemed to be in a big hurry; she brought out the food and then raced back towards the kitchen. We had no tableware. I yelled at her just before she got out of sight and made hand motions of trying to eat without silverware. She then brought some.
We had the #13 Green Curry with Chicken and the # 19 Pad Khing with Chicken. Both meals had lots of fresh vegetables and the portions were ample. It tasted good, but I would order something different if I returned.
The restaurant is a big, clean, with average food and service that is friendly, but not outstanding

There were four of us there. The food was beautiful and tasted great the only problem was the room was pretty dark and we had to use flashlights to read the menu. Also the waitress the main waitress that served us
I know everyone has a bad day so it doesn’t bother me that much.

Must try. Amazing food, Beautiful ambiance and Friendly staff. What else do you need?

Am too happy and satisfied with the food. It’s very hard to find good food these days especially if you are Vegan. But they have a lot of vegetarian and Vegan options. Thank you Lanna Thai.
