The chicken is always good but the fries are always soggy and the mac and cheese is nasty. The mac and cheese so nasty I wanted my money back. Also I do agree about the service. What happened to the guys? 2 stars because the mac and cheese was disappointing.

I ordered 2 full catfish (4 fillets per), with greens, red beans and rice, yams and okra (which wasn’t specified on the menu as fried). The yams were good and the okra was acceptable. I drove 30 mins for the nostalgia of M&M but ended up with hard, gritty catfish that lacked flavor, I grabbed my hot sauce and powered through. The greens taste like there was no seasoning, so I got my own vinegar and spices to power through. The yams were great! The red beans and rice though….just don’t do it. Have you ever had unseasoned beans and rice floating in what can only be described as “tap water”? I tried my best to season and make it edible, but it was a total loss. The sad thing is, I was excited to order here but I can’t honestly refer anyone there for the items I purchased. $70 wasted…this saddens me

The best place for seafood on Woodward! The shrimp was so delicious. The batter was perfect and the catfish was so flavorful. Not a strong fishy flavor, just a rich buttery taste that melts in your mouth. I highly recommend this place for bringing food to your cookout, getting lunch at work, or getting food for the family! The owner and staff were the kindest and most welcoming people. It’s a great respectful business. 5 stars!

I give them *5 stars for the Catfish I ordered and the Cashier was friendly and really cool but my sister ordered the Catfish and Fries and complained that they were soggy, looked like they were recooked, dark and cooked in old grease. She said she even asked for them to fry them hard and they wasn’t. I’ve had the fries before and they were good. If you’re getting complaints about soggy fries cooked in old grease why not do that ever again?She sent me pictures too but don’t know how to post them.

This is my second visit. I was much more pleased. The first time I tried the catfish sandwich. The fish was tasty, but for almost $10, the portion was extremely skimpy.
Today I had taste for some wings. They were perfectly fried and tasted good. The chef slid me a sample of the turkey chili. It was so good. Really simple and tasty. So, I added that to my order as well.
They definitely won me back. I only allow myself one or two fried foods per week. I don’t have time to play. It’s gotta be good.

Fried chicken was good crispy and flavorful the fries were good and nicely seasoned but they were definitely not generous with them and lastly the peach cobbler. It was not very tasty in my opinion and it came cold I like my cobbler warm it was very dark and barely any crust mostly just peaches but for the most part they were good .

My 1st time visiting this place was a few weeks ago. Years ago it was M & M Shrimp Shack, I didn’t know it had changed, but i was pleasantly surprised. The hospitality was outstanding, the food was delicious and not over priced the place was clean, what more could u ask for? I ordered a little bit of everything since it my first time there. Customer service terrible! Crackers were stale! Cole slaw tasted old! I got 6 large shrimp for $8.75 and they were just ok, not seasoned good at all. They didn’t give me any napkins or fork to eat with. The lady on the phone taking my order hung up in my face I had to call back, and she acted like she wasn’t aware what happened!
