THE FOOD IS INCREDIBLE! It’s some odd the best pork in all of Alabama and the smoked beans may be the best version of baked beans anywhere. They’re smoky, meaty, and have a deep sweetness that is rich and flavorful. It’s not much to look at, but the food every expectation for Alabama style barbecue.

The place isn’t much to look at, but those are usually the best places for barbecue in the south. Landmark BBQ proves that saying.
We ordered a pound of pork meal. It came with buns, sauce, 2 sides (baked beans & fried okra were our choices), & banana pudding. We also ordered 1/2 rack of ribs & a side of onion rings. Everything was fantastic. The meat was juicy & flavorful. There wasn’t a lot of fat like at some places I’ve been recently. My husband said the ribs were the best he’s had at a restaurant in many years. The baked beans were an A+ & also contained quite a bit of meat. The fried okra, onion rings, & pudding were also delicious. We actually went because another place we wanted was closed. We’d been to Landmark years ago & remembered it was very good, though, so we decided to drive to Margaret. I’m so glad that we did. This will be the only place I’ll get BBQ pork at from now on.

Caution! Delicious food coma ahead! This place was exactly what we have been looking for. We got food for 4 and had more than enough! The ribs were exactly what you expect from an awesome bbq spot! The tea was on point and the sides did not disappoint. We had friendly service and they even let us sample something to make sure we would be happy with our choice! If you want good bbq this is a wonderful spot. Dine in area is small, but it matches the feel of the place, and I wouldn’t want it any bigger. Prices were great and I’m including the recent menu so you don’t have to stand around for an hour figuring it out… cause once you smell it you want to try everything! We got our sauce on the side and I would recommend that since everything tastes so good even without it. Not to say it wasn’t amazing, but I don’t like too much sauce on my ribs. Onion rings and slaw were excellent choices, and the banana pudding will leave you comatose

Landmark BBQ in Margaret, Alabama is absolutely fantastic. I have tried both the brisket sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich, and they are outstanding. The meat is tender, smoky, and full of flavor. Honestly, I think it is some of the best barbecue in Alabama.
When I lived just up the road, it was such a treat to be able to go there on a weekly basis. Everything about this place feels authentic and done right. If you love real Southern barbecue, Landmark BBQ is a spot you cannot miss.

Great jumbo pork bbq sandwich. Lightly toasted bun with pickle. Sauce was sweet but tasty. Pork was chopped and very tender. Really excellent. Off the beaten path but worth a detour if in the area.

We came for the brisket and we were not disappointed. it was super tender and really flavorful. She asked us if we wanted the sauce on the side so I don’t see any problem with too much sauce. Just ask for it on the side. Smoked baked beans were awesome and fried okra was great.

I like to say that I like a little BBQ with my sauce but this was absolutely swimming in sauce. Also I love anything sweet but this BBQ sauce was overwhelmingly sweet. The “smoked” beans seemed to be also strongly flavored with the same BBQ sauce. Potato salad seemed like homemade but had a strange sour aftertaste. The toasted bread was the best part of the meal.
I was not greeted when I came in, actually felt like I was putting out the two employees who had to get up from a table and put their phones down long enough to fix me a plate and take my money. A person who I assume is an owner came in while I was eating and also never addressed me; no one ever asked if my meal was okay or if I needed anything. Possibly because although there are three tables they aren’t used to anyone actually dining in? I did get a half smile from the register girl as I was leaving and was offered a lid for my to go cup.
I would give a pass for the staff if the food had been better but this place is a hard no for me.

Ordered cheeseburgers to go. They were ready when I got there, everyone spoke to me. The cheeseburgers were to quote Guy from DDD were outstanding. I will be back for more. My neighbor tells me the Nachos are fantastic, I will try them sometime. Very good experience, I recommend to anyone that has just drove by and never stopped to stop.
