Been going here since high school. Always loved this place. Great food, fun staff and great prices. In my 60’s and still living in sunrise and loved visiting every week or so. Gotta be honest…I last year or so prices have increased dramatically. Last year a lunch and few beers cost my husband and I $35. Went today and it cost us almost $50. Sorry, way too many places offer better deals. Guess the new owner is more focused on profits than customer satisfaction. Don’t get me wrong, food was good and staff was amazing. But putting profit over customers will definitely hurt them.

I don’t order take out to have to come home to cook the food more because it was not prepared as requested. And I don’t make specific requests when I place my “to go” order to sadly receive quite the opposite of what I requested. I called and placed an order for 10 piece wing special today. I asked for hot with Caribbean jerk and well done. I specifically asked if they can ensure a good mix of drums and flats because I have placed order before and I got mostly all drums. I understand I can pay extra for all flats but I don’t mind a mix of the 2. Well when I received the order the wings appeared well done but there were 8 drums and 2 flats. Exactly what I requested not to happen. The young lady who took my order over the phone also handed me my order. So I said to her, I specifically asked for a good mix of drums and flats. And she said, they are unable to do that however she did not say that when I placed the order. And by the way, this is never a problem when I dine in. I said to the young lady, I am not accepting the order as is. The young lady spoke to someone and they decided to redo my order with a better mix. While I waited, the young lady who took my order said something to another waitress and that waitress said to her she (being me) should have paid for all flats. So I called her over to explain and she said she wasn’t talking to me but obviously she was talking loud enough for me to hear her. That was extremely rude. I received my order looked to ensure a good mix of flats and drums which it was but unfortunately when I got home the wings were not well done at all. I’m home right now waiting for my wings to cook more well done in the oven. I should have gone with my 1st instinct which was to cancel the order and ask for my $ back once I heard the waitresses talking about the situation inappropriately. I literally just start coming back here last week because management had made a decision a while back to stop tossing the wings and I prefer tossed wings. Now that the a decision had been made to start back tossing the wings, I decided to come back and try. But today’s experience didn’t sit well with me at all.

Dropped in on a trip to S FL. Decided to give this place a shot on a Sunday night.
We ordered 1/2 dozen oysters, fish dip, and “fried fish” sandwich.
The fish dip was very good although tbh i think this was the fist time I’ve had fish dip with tortilla chips. The oysters were well shucked but the liquor was lacking.
The disappointment was the fish sandwich. I was expecting a cod sandwich but it was catfish. Overall the sandwich was lack luster and would’ve been as good only being a lettuce and tomato sandwich. And on top, our server forgot to put in the order so the wait was over 20 minutes.

I made a bad drunken review years ago. And I hate to have bashed such a great restaurant that has always felt like family there. Growing up around here, everyone has forever given me such a lovely experience and to only target one specific time. I love the staff, the owners, theyre all amazing and caring. Definitely love this place. I wish I could take back what I said, and I never made up for it. Always recommend!!!

I always forget how great this place is when I go to donate blood next-door. You can sit anywhere you want, it’s a huge sports bar, it’s always nice and air-conditioned, which I love. It’s very informal and the servers immediately acknowledge you. Best grilled chicken sandwich ever. As much as I wanted to get the fried shrimp platter, which I’ve had before, I didn’t because I’m on a diet – – but I guarantee you there is something for everyone here even if you are cutting calories. They have a fantastic eight dollar lunch menu special can’t beat it.

Update: Went back for the burger obviously but had to try something different. The oysters were great. Nice size oyster with all the extras on side. No need to drive near the beach for them. Also tried the macaroni salad! Uff soo good and of course had a juicy burger with tater tots. Bernie was so attentive to our table service here is the best.
Have you ever craved a hot, juicy, FRESH, thick burger? I found the place for it! soft thick roll with a hearty portion of burger meat not over seasoned and a side of perfectly cooked fries SOOOO GOOD! My serve emely was amazing. Got awesome service from her even with her being the only server on shift. Highly recommend checking this restaurant out. Coming back for the oysters and wings!!

I’ve been eating here my whole life and it’s never once disappointed. Food has consistently been great since 1997 (I was 5). Nothing on the menu is bad. And I mean absolutely nothing.
