It’s definitely an expensive experience and from what I have heard about from past reviewers is the dining room can get rather loud so if you have the chance sit out on the deck with the heaters.
We went on Valentine’s Day and there was only four course meal to choose from but had absolutely delicious selections to choose from. My wife got the trout and she said it’s in her top three favorite fish plates she’s ever eaten. Also they have a really good selection of NA drinks and cocktails.
And in the bathroom they went with really fun colors versus plain white boring.

My friends and I came here for dinner the other night on a Friday and it was pretty busy even with the reservation. Definitely recommend making a reservation! There is plenty of free parking in the lot. We had to wait outside for about 15 minutes until we were seated. It was nice and cozy by the fire! The restaurant itself felt very cramped and like tables were too close together. It was hard to walk and get past people. The food was pretty good, but came out very slowly. Service was OK. I’d recommend trying if you’re in the area.
Food/drink review;
Espresso martini: (4/5) Great flavor with a touch of cinnamon.
Honey ginger chicken: (5/5) Honestly my favorite dish of the night. Soooo yummy! Great portion for sharing, but I definitely could’ve had this as my entree.
Braised short rib: (4/5) Super tender and tasty. The inside was a little bit dry, but overall it was good. I really enjoyed the polenta.
Potato puree: (3/5) Decent, but nothing special. Wouldn’t order again.
Spicy chorizo pizza: (5/5) I thought the pizza was delicious! Great flavor and the crust was tasty.
Ricotta gnocchi: (4/5) Surprisingly really flavorful. I loved the texture and the sauce was yummy!
French fries: (4/5) These were delicious! Crispy and tasty. The Aioli was really good

Pricey meal but the food was fantastic! I don’t think my friend and I had a complaint about anything.
We ordered one of the spicy tuna tartare, steak tartare, flat iron steak with broccolini, and their Lana chopped salad.
It was honestly the perfect meal. The flat iron steak was cooked perfectly and their wine reduction sauce was so tantalizing.
For dessert we got the Basque Cheesecake. It was hard to not try and finish the whole thing. They make it in house so it’s fresh and tasty! (and it was the only photo I took!)

Hosts are adorable and helpful. Restaurant is super cute. Food and drinks are mediocre at best. The “pork belly confit” is literally pigs in a blanket. Although our server was very nice, the pacing of service is poor. We sat with empty drinks and appetizer plates and did not get asked to order entrees after being at our table for almost an hour. We left prior to ordering entrees and went elsewhere. Our bill was almost $200 and did not feel worth the price whatsoever. If you’re looking for a similar feel, Mia’s is superior with excellent food and service.

I was there last week and I’ve thought about the baked Mt.Tam every day since then. The cocktails were great, they were able to make me my personal favorite (mojito) though it wasn’t on the menu. The mushroom tagliatelle and Wagyu burger were good but a little under seasoned. The desserts were stellar, couldn’t just choose one so had to have both the cookie and the key lime pie made by their in house pastry chef. The service was excellent, waitress was very knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions and give recommendations. Can’t wait to go back and try their raw dishes (beef tartare, ceviche, and sashimi), as well as happy hour and the rest of the dessert menu (I have my eye on the basque cheesecake next). Fair warning the place is a bit loud but the ample parking and excellent menu is reason for people to gather and be excited.

Amazing! Great addition to Solana beach! They really did an amazing job remodeling the old California Pizza kitchen. Great decor with wood accents. Every detail is perfect. Causal and relaxing. Menu is perfect. Jessica our waitress was 5 stars! Attentive friendly and a great personality. We ordered the shrimp wontons, yellowtail and the tuna tartare as well as the mushroom tagliatelle. So rich and flavorful! Just melted in our mouths. And the key lime pie! Full bar, great food and amazing service. Will be back!

Incredible food and amazing craft cocktails! We got the fig bruschetta, yellowtail sashimi, wild mushroom tagliatelle and the sea bass. The combination of flavors in each dish were outstanding – fresh and delicious. I knocked off one star because the service wasn’t great (took the waitress about 10 mins to greet us after we initially sat down and then she barely checked on us throughout the meal). We’ll definitely be going back to try more of the menu – so hoping for better service next time!!
