The perfect food the satisfies the craving. Lunch specials are enough for two meals. They know how to accommodate vegetarians. The staff is very friendly, even when it’s busy.

I have been going to Lam’s for years. Their food is fresh, well seasoned, and very tasty. May is an absolute sweetheart and recognizes my voice when I call an order to go. Every dish I’ve had is hot and absolutely delicious. Don’t be fooled by the casual atmosphere. It is my to-go Chinese restaurant in Marin hands down!

Lam’s kitchen is our absolute favorite restaurant in Mill Valley. Mae is the sweetest person ever and you can taste the love and kindness in the food. I’m a vegetarian and she is always so helpful in either altering a dish to fit my needs or recommending a different one that she thinks I will like. Her husband, the chef, never disappoints as I’ve never not liked something from his kitchen. I’m pretty sure I’ve tried just about everything vegetarian on the menu at this point and it’s all delicious. My boyfriend, Bobby, is not a vegetarian. He always orders the orange chicken or the general Tso’s chicken and the chow mein. Mae will also recommend things for him as well if he needs a change. Seriously, best Chinese food in the area. Go here if you’d like good food, a friendly atmosphere, and to support a small business as it’s just Mae and her husband.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in southern Marin. The food is high quality and service is fast, and it’s the best Chinese food in the area without crossing the bridge. May is very friendly, as other reviewers have noted. As a note, they recently switched to take-out only.

Ordered two lunch specials and fried prawns. Stir-fry tasted really good and seemed fresher compared to other Chinese restaurants. Prawns were perfectly cooked and not greasy at all. Will definitely come back when we are at Mill Valley area.

Take out only. But one of best meals for the price. Food is excellent, and every dish tastes unique. One of the 3 best Chinese restaurants in Marin. Worth the drive.

May is a wonderful woman, the food is always fresh and hot, and the service is quick and easy. Lam’s kitchen deserves the recognition it receives, everyone who works there is hardworking and dedicated. You’ll have to cross a bridge to get better Chinese food!

I love Lam’s. I have lunch here at least twice a week. The food is delicious, fresh, and inexpensive. It’s a family-run business and they make a point of knowing their good customers’ names and their preferences. The kitchen is squeaky clean. The decor makes it a place that you’re not going to seek out for date night, but if you want tasty, no-frills Chinese food you won’t be disappointed. Weekday lunch is their busy time when it seems like every construction trade worker in Marin descends at the same time. Favorites include the wah wonton soup, green bean prawns, mu shu anything, and spicy eggplant chicken.
