What a nice little place. I was searching for a good coffee shop and found this place. I had a Cortado with vanilla syrup and really enjoyed it. They had tons of options and specialty drinks, so I think I’ll be back sooner than later. I’ve been trying to eat healthy, so I didn’t order any sweet snacks because I knew I’d eat like 2-3. I did take a picture of the snacks so you could see. They also had some really cozy seating inside and seating outside. I will be back.

Nice little shop with friendly service, a few seats, and a nice specialty coffee. I forget what they called it, but it’s their “secret recipe” that tastes “something like caramel,” but it’s a bit richer and more earthy.
Good stuff. Glad we stopped.

I went here earlier in the day around 11:30 am and stayed till about 4:30 pm. This place is such a vibe- they have great choice in music, the atmosphere is relaxing and chill, the crew is absolutely amazing and the coffee/food is worth every penny. I had the 16 oz Lamba Latte (hot) and the Pesto Grilled Cheese and omg they were both delicious! The bathrooms were stocked and clean, they had some merchandise in the front that you could buy (coffee beans, syrup, stickers, shirts, hats, fresh juice, bakery items) and they even had a walk up window where you can order from outside to-go, plenty of seating and had books/games you could utilize while you are there! I stayed there for hours catching up on a book and it was the best book read I had in a while. I will be making the trip down here more often!

I ordered the Lambs Latte with half the sweetener. It was perfect! It had a great coffee taste with no bitterness or acidity & the balance of sweet was just right. My husband ordered his regular & my son ordered just a latte. My husband thought his was too sweet & my son thought his was bitter. They both liked mine & said they should have ordered theirs like I did. That’s why I gave 4 stars. Neat little coffee shop, though!

Fantastic coffee. Some nice bakery options. Breakfast tacos available. A very pleasant sit with a cup of coffee for a few calming moments.

It’s ok. LG latte literally tastes like steamed milk, barely any coffee flavor. Adding a shot of espresso at home so I don’t waste anymore money. Also got a very small muffin and Danish; my son tasted paper, though there wasn’t any paper on the Danish so that was weird.

I was visiting San Marcos this past weekend and wanted to try something different so we stopped in at Lamppost coffee and let me tell you it was the best decision ever. The atmosphere was amazing. It was so cozy and quaint. The staff was so helpful and friendly. I had their signature
latte which was recommended and it did not disappoint. It was so flavorful. It was to go and I nearly finished it before I left. My boyfriend got an americano and it was also a hit. I will be back next time I am in San Marcos.

Pretty small and crowded. Not a bad vibe and ok parking. Really bad sugar free options unfortunately. But the coffee was bold and strong not at all bitter. All I all a pretty good basic latte.

Rude employee, some gross options.
I ordered one of their seasonal drinks that sounded really good, a graham cracker cold brew. I also got the goat cheese toast with blueberries and honey drizzle.
When I got my drink, I tried it as it was given to me and it tasted absolutely disgusting. I tried mixing it to see if it would help, and it tasted the same. I don’t know exactly how they prepare the drink, but I get the feeling that the god awful sludgy, soily/muddy taste the drink had could be from the caffeine mixing with the starch from the crackers (even then, the cold brew itself was barely a cold brew, it was so diluted it just tasted like water with a splash of coffee). I assume that maybe they blend the caffeine with the crackers, but I’m not sure. Either way, it was disgusting and I sent it back which isn’t something I do often unless it’s actually revolting.
The girl at the counter was super rude. I was being cordial and even apologized for sending the drink back, but that didn’t stop her from reacting annoyed and almost shrugging and releasing her shoulders as she said “Well, it’s a cold brew so..”. Yeah, I know, I’ve tried many cold brews before. They’re delicious! This was just not good and it’s okay! But I didn’t fight back, I just apologized and asked if I could get something else (another seasonal drink, a latte) and offered to pay the $1 difference. She said “no it’s fine” very rudely and turned around.
The other employee was very kind, she made sure I got my toast (which was absolutely delightful).
Besides that, the atmosphere of the cafe was really cool and laid back. The restrooms were clean and decorated very nicely. They even had a dog bowl outside the cafe (in the shade) filled with water and food.
Hopefully miss girl can learn to not take things to heart and just trust her customers are being truthful.

Might be the first 8 dollar latte worth the price. The espresso was smooth and velvety, the flavor (banana bread latte) was entirely unique. The barista was kind and friendly. She even recognized my niche makeup style. I balked at the price at first, but I guess im drinking my words right now.
