L’Amour Toujours, gelegen in het Zeeheldenkwartier in Den Haag, slaat vanaf 11 februari een nieuw hoofdstuk open. Met een vernieuwd concept positioneert het zich als Riviera Bistro & Café: een plek waar Franse elegantie en Italiaanse levenslust samenkomen, geïnspireerd door het ontspannen ritme van de Middellandse Zee. De naam L’Amour Toujours verwijst naar de iconische track van Gigi D’Agostino — een tijdloos symbool van energie, emotie en samenzijn. Die gedachte vormt de ziel van de zaak: een plek waar mensen binnenlopen, blijven hangen en het moment vieren. De Franse bistrotraditie blijft voelbaar in aandacht, service en detail, maar het kompas verschuift zuidwaarts. Parijs maakt plaats voor de kustlijn tussen Nice en San Remo.

There was just one waiter/barman for the whole place, so everything took a long time. He also seemed pretty annoyed which definitely affected our visit.
There is a table right next to the kitchen, which I cannot recommend since you will most likely smell like food.
The food itself was fine, quite a big portion but a loooot of bread. I think it would be nice to add a small salad on the side or something.
The coffee was bad, tasted like cheap, burnt supermarket beans.

From the moment you walk into L’Amour Toujours, it really is styled like a high-end Parisian bistro. The atmosphere was great. The food we had, while delicious, was a little on the small side when thinking about the price. Our waitress was very lovely but service was a little slow in part. However, this did not detract from the lovely afternoon we spent here.

My favorite place to go in summer with friends. I love their own beer and all the food menu are well cooked and prepared. My Dutch boyfriend said he has the best fries here in Netherlands. The staff are busy sometimes but they are professional and try their best to serve each table as much as possible. The Christmas decorations are really gezellig and my family all really love it!

We visited it around christmas holidays, so it was beaitiful inside. However unfortunetly food was very average and in case of the french restaurant dissapointing. I ordered ”nicoise salad” – it has all right ingridients, but the quality and the presentation and taste was more like ” a student chef cook ran to AH to buy products and then just put them on 1 plate”. We also waiteid for long time. I found it a pity, such a place nice, vibe, but expenstive food with a lack of nice taste.

Love the vibe of this place and the service was great! We had prawns, foie gras, venison and boar and it was all lovely…. my only negative on the food was that the foie gras (nicely shaped as a pear) was served with a light syrup into which some of the foie gras dissolved… wet foie gras is not my thing really. All in all though we had a lovely time

It is a cool and hip place on the expansive side. It is more of a “decore” of a French bistro than an actual authentic French cuisine experience in my opinion. The looks of this place is really nice. Food was nice too, but the big let down was the service. We had to wait more than 15 minutes to get asked what we wanted to drink and we didnt get a menu straight away either. So the service was not the best, even though friendly, but not experienced service.
For example, we were asked by the waittress to give our wine card back when we received the menu for the food. Of course we wanted to drink a good wine, or maybe multiple for each course, with our meal right, why did the waitress grab back the wine card back immediatly? So we had to ask it back, but she was already busy etc. Unnescary hassle and complicated.
We aslo had to explicitly ask what the fish speciality of the day was, and we had to ask for many more standard things. This was not inviting.
And i like the rude realness of some places, it can be charming, but presenting yourself and priced like this, i expected better and now it felt pretentiois. It was just bad service.
Food was good and quite tasty, but you only get 4 tiny bread pieces with 12 escargo’s? Just 4? Really? So little bread at a French restaurant, this is not okay. We had to ask for more, how can you otherwise soak all the nice buttery sauce?
All in all we did have a nice evening, but there is room for improvements.

Beautiful place, nice people! Cocktails and oysters are great, we also loves our starter (salmon) and my cannoli was fine (expensive but okay) but my friend had the mini chick (piepkuiken) and that one lacked of taste unfortunately…

Checked out L’Amour Toujours with two pals and went for the three-course meal. The food was like a disco in our mouths, and the fish and meat were nailing their culinary dance moves. Major props to the staff for the good vibes and fantastic food. The atmosphere is basically a teleporter to a different dimension.
