SON! This place was all that and bag of chips. Oh my it was good. I stopped in here on the way to Cape Girardeau for a wire visit for work and I left no doubt!

Good food. Steak cooked great sides was good. Very busy but was seated within 20 mins. Friendly staff. The rolls fantastic hot the apple butter is legit. The free sides are good. But the potatoes and onions are the best thing they give crispy, hot, and seasoned great. It is expensive to eat but it’s good eats. Parking is not bad. Overall, my experience is 5 stars. If they had a jam to offer with the rolls, it would be next level.

Interesting place. We drove 3 hours to eat here. As the place is good, I’m not sure there will be another 3 hour drive just for that lol. Everyone enjoyed their food for the most part. The beef liver was a little burned and they hid it with extra gravy. Like a ton of gravy. My mashed potatoes and green beans were ice cold. They did replace them, and i assumed they were microwaved. I burnt my lip on a bite of mashed potatoes, so they had to sit for a bit. Livers were good was the chicken. I’m glad we had the experience. If I happen to be back in that area, we will stop back in.

If you haven’t been you don’t know what you are missing. Be forewarned that they do get extremely busy do it best do stop in for a bite during non traditional meal hours for or else you might have a wait. I have been to all three locations and this one is by far my favorite. I travel for work and am gone more then I am at home so when passing I stop for a meal because this is the closest I will get to a home cooked meal for months at a time

Honestly, I believe that this restaurant gets the kind of business it receives mainly because of them throwing those gigantic-sized dinner rolls and it has been featured on the Travel Channel. (However, they are scrumptious, by the way.)

I haven’t been in years, but made plans to meet an old US Air Force comrade whom I hadn’t seen in 30 years. It was a great atmosphere to meet up. The young man throwing rolls was awesome! The food was good, but I remember it being a bit more flavorful, but no real complaint.

It was a nice experience. Our waitress was fantastic. My favorite thing about the restaurant is the decor, but the food was just ok. Maybe it was what I ordered; I ordered the Chicken Fried Round Steak. My wife and son ordered the Golden Fried Chicken and they loved it. I have to say that I loved the Throwed Rolls. They are amazing. Next time I’m around Siskeston ,MO I will visit this place again.

Logan are server seemed overwhelmed with people. Or he was just busy and there was a lot of people just kind of standing around as far as servers and hosts. It was still a lot of fun and cool to see the chicken gizzards were burnt up and well the cornbread too. So those were disappointing. And the macaroni and tomatoes are weird because they are sweet. My husband said it was wonderful fried okra! The gift shop was fun. We got a trucker cup. Our wait was only about 35 min. It worked very smoothly.

I throughly enjoyed my experience and dinner here. The food was excellent. I enjoyed the pass around the most I think. The fried okra, the fried potatoes with onions, and of course the rolls. I had the hamburger steak for my entree and it was excellent. My wife had the fried chicken, legs only, and they brought her 4 huge chicken legs.

This place definitely lived up to the hype! Hadn’t been here in probably 20 years, but I had fond memories from my childhood. I hear the weekend lines can can be quite long, but we arrived about 11:45am on a Wednesday and got right in. I tried the daily special, beef tips and rice. Meat was super tender and the disb was seasoned very well. Please allow me to point out in bold lettering that THE CANDIED YAMS WERE DELECTABLE! I’d never had them so rich and creamy in my life! A definite must try if you like sweet taters! Also had greens which are some of the best I’ve had at a restaurant. Of course the pass around I had were good, although I got so full I couldn’t try them all! Eating a roll at Lambert’s doesn’t seem optional, it seems like a must have! Of course I had to try them both ways, and while the sorghum was good I personally preferred the apple butter. A perfect balance between sweet and savory!
