Really great barbecue restaurant in Austin, with a lovely team and excellent service. The atmosphere is fantastic, a really lively place and the perfect spot for a good meal. Was the first day of the first time in Austin and an amazing introduction to a fantastic city with great people.
Fresh ceviche, amazing barbecue and arguably the best pale ale I had in Austin over 5 days.
Prices a bit steeper than other places but well worth it as the quality and experience exceeds expectations. Will definitely be returning next time in Austin.
Location is good, easily walkable from a lot of the main spots in town.

The food, drinks, service and vibe here are consistently good. Portions of food are substantial too. Good value during happy hour, but the happy hour time window is a bit short and menu is somewhat limited.
The location is great too if you’re going to ACL Live (Moody Theater) or 3TEN.
The wild boar ribs I my favorite app. And the beef ribs for dinner are incredible. When they have the bone in NY strip on the menu it is a must order because it is so damn good – usually for New Year’s Eve for certain.
A solid four stars!

Excellent atmosphere, friendly staff and creative menu! We loved all of our drinks and most of the food. The brisket was pretty dry unfortunately. We loved the burnt end queso so much!! And the jalapeño Caesar salad!

Stopped in for a late lunch and had the Pulled Smoked Pork sandwich off the bar menu — absolutely delicious! Tender, smoky, and full of flavor. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere had that perfect Austin vibe — relaxed yet lively. Great spot all around; can’t wait to come back.

Three of us had a smaller lunch before a movie. The server was very friendly and engaging and very professional. We split a wedge and one of the sandwiches and the kitchen split the plate without us asking, which we appreciated. The cocktail and draft IPA were tasty. The prices are reasonable for the downtown area. We were served with plenty of time for movie.

My husband and I come to Austin on the weekends to try new spots & we stopped by this gem! It was so nice when you walked in & seating was set very well! I got the smoked turkey Reuben with potatoes salad & my husband got the brisket plate. Everything tasted so good and very fresh! Also, the food came out fast! They had 3 different types of bbq sauce; sweet, mustard & spicy. All were so good! Service was great too! We will definitely be back!

I had the happy hour brisket sandwich and queso. Both were delicious. I will definitely return for the food. The only thing I thought was odd was that a single well/house whiskey was about the same price as their signature cocktails ($15), which is something I’ve never experienced anywhere, but good to know—next time I’ll just get a cocktail.

It’s been decades since I was last in Texas, and this brisket is exactly what I remember. I spent a year in DFW and what I missed was the tender, juicy, charred, flavorful pieces of meat that are hard to find outside this state. I was a bit disappointed for the size at $29, but for the real deal it was worth it. And the side of coleslaw was delightful. Crisp, fresh, delicious, with a nice kick to it. Great service and I enjoyed the house lager, too. Glad to get a chance to experience some legit Texas brisket again.

We came here at the recommendation of the.Resort. We were seated right away. We got the three meat sampler, macaroni and cheese and the queso with burnt ends and chips for the appetizer. The appetizer came out after we already received our food. All of the meat was a little on the spicier side. The brisket had a lot of fat, and I felt it needed to be smoked longer for the fat to be emulsified. The jalapeno cheddar sausage was hot. The macaroni and cheese had a good flavor. The queso was disappointing. It did not have burnt ends in it, it just had chopped brisket, which is not the same as burnt ends. The complimentary cornbread muffins were not something that we cared for, there was corn in them.
