I wish there was some shade out back to be able to sit outside in the late afternoon/sunset. It is way too hot and too sunny. They don’t mention that when booking an outside table, so beware.
The food is very good. Our server this time was a little strange. (older guy) Made us slightly uncomfortable. But the food was good.
The upstairs has nice views, but feels like an overflow space rather than an expensive restaurant.
If you are looking for the perfect place to watch the sunset down the shore, then you need to visit Lamberti’s Sunset Marina & Restaurant in Margate (15 minute drive from Ocean City, NJ – we came over from the boutique hotel, Coastal Chateau)!
We arrived for dinner around 7–7:30 PM on a weekday in August and had literal perfect seats on their deck overlooking the bay.
The service was fantastic, and the food was EXCEPTIONAL – everything about the evening was just perfect.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND for anyone wanting a memorable dinner with a view and the best part… YOU CAN MAKE RESERVATIONS!
waiter attentive drinks slow
Menu wasn’t appealing to me just ordered pizza which was delicious
husband enjoyed his meal
The best part of whole dinner was sunset view which was amazing
yes i’ll probably go back next fall for that
The service we received from Marissa was fantastic and it was on a busy Saturday evening in August. She was attentive, always providing updates even if something wasn’t ready immediately and consistently checked in on us
Atmosphere is absolutely amazing. If you want waterfront dining you get it with almost every table indoor and out, amazing view of the bay and sunset! Spoiler, this is primarily what you’re paying for here and the food tasting good is bonus
The food was mostly all very good although some items could improve a little. Detailed list below
It is pricey but you’re in margate on the bay enjoying the most prime waterfront view. You’re paying for an overall experience, not just the food
Antipasto – good and fresh
Margarita pizza – good
Meatball and ricotta pizza – very good, ricotta was delicious
Alfredo sauce – decent. Could’ve been more generous with the sauce
Zianna – this dish was amazing. The blush sauce was perfect and all the other ingredients were fresh and tasty
Vodka sauce – good but not as good as the wash sauce. Was a little too thick and creamy almost like they used cream cheese
Filet mignon – pretty good dish
Crab cakes – very good dish
The 2nd floor is more lively with the bar and DJ playing music.
My favorite is the first floor they opened the folding doors to bring the deck feel inside and it was beautiful to eat with great company and view the sunset on the Marina.
The service is always friendly and often makes great suggestions when we are feeling indecisive.
The Zianna, pizza, pork chops, and bronzino were our top favorites. Look out for the delicious specials. For dessert, the hazelnut gelato and cheesecakes were our go-tos.
Hopefully, they remain open for a winter visit.
