Amazing experience at Lamaii !

We had a wonderful time dining here last night. The atmosphere was beautiful, relaxed, and very inviting. All of the food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were excellent.

Special thanks to KIM! – who was incredibly helpful with seating, food recommendations, and attentive service throughout the evening. His suggestions were spot on and really elevated our experience. Crispy Garlic Prawns are a must!

Highly recommend Lamaii —we’ll definitely be back!

Crispy Prawns are popular here and we’d say that’s a MUST GET ITEM here, especially for ppl who similarly love the original Lotus of Siam location version. Western Thai Wine Restaurant with RSVP needed (extremely crowded on a Saturday night). They are understaffed but very nice. You’ll leave ridiculously dehydrated due to how much fish sauce to masking salty taste was added into the food for flavor. For anyone sensitive, you’ll feel very bloated, good hangover and thirsty until the next day. Overall, be prepared for a very long wait, and service. We were able to entertain ourselves. And they treated us pretty well.

What’s not for us, doesn’t mean it’s not for others? Maybe this could be a kind stepping stone or fusion taste of Thai food? I’m sure this place will be full of people ordering the typical western to mainstream dishes like Pad Thai.

We are not normally into fusion or westernized Thai food. That doesn’t mean we won’t be able to enjoy more elevated versions, or westernized versions. It needs to make sense. For elevated places, the quality needs to match the price. I’m expecting higher grade meats to higher quality ingredients = not supposed to feel food hangover after. I swear we were so thirsty, nonstop drinking water and electrolytes all night and the next day. That’s not a good sign. I don’t even think I get that thirsty from eating Panda Express. Luckily we weren’t gassy which means their protein were decent quality. There are other reviewers with similar experiences too so it wasn’t just us.

If you come from places with less of any of these communities around than Vegas might be great for you in all of them? Compared to many or all local Vegas friends, we are more picky with our Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Taiwanese, Mexican taste in food. Many of which Vegas is not well-known for. But

Today I came to eat at Lamai Restaurant near Chinatown. The food was absolutely delicious—especially the shrimp in fish sauce, which was amazing. I ordered several dishes along with cocktails.

The restaurant is beautiful and very clean, with a great atmosphere and nice music.

The servers who took care of me today were Kim and Chompoo. Both of them were very sweet, friendly, and attentive. They gave great food recommendations and took wonderful care of me throughout the meal.

Best meal we’ve had in Vegas, hands down! The drinks are incredible too. We tried an espresso martini and a Thai iced coffee and they were the best we’ve had! The fried duck in curry sauce was so good, I wish I could marry the sauce lol

I highly would recommend this place for their cocktails as they were really impressive. Sadly one of the dishes that we wanted and it wasn’t available. The decor is a little too old and it feels like several holidays all mixed in one with Valentine’s Day hearts all over walking out the door is a Halloween cat. The mild spicy was way too in my personal opinion how to make girlfriend thought it was on point. I would definitely go back for their specialty cocktails and appetizers.

We came here for my birthday and I am so glad we did! This spot is beautiful and the service was great!

We started with Wing Zap. I would not normally order dry rub wings but holy cow! Perfectly fried BIG wings with amazing rub with a lime zing.

My husband ordered the pork Ga Prow, one of his favorite dishes, and he said it might be his favorite preparation of the dish in town! I got the crispy duck panang and it was prepared perfectly crispy with the juiciest duck and the curry sauce was to die for! I could eat that morning, noon, and night.

The prices are completely fair, service is great, and food was perfection. A great birthday choice – so happy!

I will say have to say the food is very good. However the portion sizes are small and the prices are out of control. We paid $18 for a small bowl of basil fried rice, $15 for calamari and $21 for a small piece of salmon and about 2 pieces of bok choy. It was ridiculous…. But I will say again everything tasted very good.

All the food here seems so amazing. We were only hungry enough to get two entrees and now I regret not getting six or seven more things. This place is well known for having an excellent line selection, so make sure to ask the people who work there about the wine. We forgot to do that!

Lamaii delivers Thai cooking with a chef’s discipline and a storyteller’s swagger. The menu reads like a greatest-hits setlist with some deep cuts: fiery Gang Pu with vermicelli, soulful Kao Soi with braised beef, and that bright, bracing Yum Nuer that snaps with chili and lime like it means it.

The room is lavish without being tacky. It’s stylish, seductive, and built for long dinners that turn into late nights. The waitstaff is attentive and genuinely gracious, the kind of service that makes you relax your shoulders and trust the kitchen.

And yes, there’s a full bar, with cocktails that show restraint and balance, not sugar-bombs in fancy glassware. Thoughtful Thai accents, clean structure, and the confidence to let the drink do its job.

It’s adored by locals and the experienced travelers who relish off-strip, authentic dining experiences. So far, it’s my favorite Thai spot in Vegas

Found this place through Instagram and will definitely say this place is a hidden gem. Comparing this to Lotus of Siam, I will definitely come here without having to worry about the wait and reservation, and knowing the food will be amazing.

For appetizer, we had garlic green beans, wing zaap, salmon noir, grilled pork jowl, and steak tartare. Everything was amazingly good!

For entrees, we had duck basil fried rice, lobster yum takrai, mango crispy catfish, chicken pad seeaew, and garlic herb crispy prawn. Again, everything was fantastic!

We ended dinner with coconut cake, which was the perfect sweetness.

On top of that, service was awesome. The staff really nice and attentive.

Definitely recommend this place
