Exceptionally delicious ! Felt like I’ve eaten everything in Downtown. Nothing seemed to draw my hunger, was in the area and found this place. The ladies are so kind and attentive. The food is delicious. It is really made with love, nothing tastes artificial or frozen. We had the fried egg rolls, fried rice, chicken chow mein, BBQ pork and rice plate and several shumai. Try the shumai !! The BBQ pork was so tender and cooked to perfection. Cash only, no dine in but it’s in the perfect area, park across the street if you want to enjoy this delicious food outside. Overall I am glad I found this place. Will come back often.

Affordable and consistent. They can get busy around lunch time and are cash only. I haven’t been disappointed over the years, they remain a very good option for easy Chinese and dim sum. I’ll definitely keep going back as long as they remain open.

Very reliable and affordable Chinese food! If I lived nearby, I would go here almost everyday. I love supporting small businesses that provide good quality meals to the community

Note: Cash only!

Extremely nice lady behind the counter. Great siu mai. Noodles were good, lots of meat, just a little greasy. Nice zucchini. Fried egg roll had a sweet flavor, but super crunchy. I loved it. $10.25 for a big lunch today. I wish I could eat there at the table, but I went to the park on 8th Street and found a picnic table.

The baked bao are the best I have had and as good as any Bay Area place. The steamed bao are really good too. Siumai taste like the ones I have had at good dim sum places since I was a kid in the Bay Area and here in sac. All their dim sum is really good. They are limited to the basic dim sum items that I like such as bao, dumplings and a couple other items.

Food selection is great! Just be prepared, this place is popular and there may be a lot of people in line waiting for their turn. Just remember it’s cash only!

Their shop may be small, but the owners are friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious! I just wish they accepted at least a debit card, but unfortunately, they only take cash.

My all time fav is the pork and shrimp siumai, 15$ or i think now 16/doz

First of all, this place is CASH only. They have no ATM. So be prepared. Also another thing to note is that even though the name of this place states it’s a market. Not so much now a days. They have a cold case of drinks and sell Chinese newspapers, that’s about the extent of their “market”. The focus is the deli… Chinese dim sum and hot food. They sell the classic Cantonese dim sum and old school Americanized Chinese hot lunch plates. I enjoy the dim sum and hot food. The place is not fancy, very simple setup. CASH only, just repeating that again because that is an important nugget of info.

They open at 8 am. That is when I usually drop in. At that time, they are stocked with the baked bbq pork buns, cocktail buns, hot dog buns, har gow, and sui mai. The other dim sum trays will fill up for the day. At times, I luck out and they already have pork filled glutinous fried dumpling, sesame balls, egg custards, and fried chicken (thighs and drumsticks). Yup fried chicken… ohhh I luv me a breakfast of fried chicken. Mmm. I enjoy all their dim sum. Like I said, it’s classic Cantonese flavors.

I came in to pick up some pork buns as a thank you for a local Mechanic, and the women inside were so friendly and helpful and even threw in an extra pork bun in since I wasn’t aware they were cash only and only had $20 to spend. I’ll definitely be back, it smelled delicious inside!!

Had this place “save” for awhile, finally decided to go. Came around 11am, there were only 2 customers in line. Place is pretty straight forward & small. There are some foods that already pre-made in the hot warmer. There were still some buns, siu mai & shrimp/pork ha gao left. Ordered half dozens of siu mai & ha gao. Beef chow fun (dry), fried rice over general chicken & steam rice with black bean zucchini chicken stir fry. After the order was done, realize it ●TAKE CASH ONLY!!!● Embarrassed had to tell them I will be back for my orders. Went to safeway on R street which it was only 4 minutes away. Got cashed pulled out. Came back & paid for my orders. They packed with lots of foods. Sui Mai & ha gao were huge. Ate 3 & I was already stuffs. Will come back again when it super early to try their buns. Don’t forget to bring cash.
