We have dedicated over two decades to serving Seal Beach community. lalc Restaurant & Bar reflects our Los Angeles origins and local approaches. We embrace traditional cooking concepts and methods, integrating with modern kitchen equipment, cutting-edge tools, and scientific industrial expertise. We tailor our approach to align with local preferences. We select ingredients that are organic, all-natural, and non-GMO, no added hormones, and no antibiotics. I recently discovered this hidden gem in Seal Beach after my favorite restaurant closed down. What a pleasant surprise it was!
Review:
My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant while enjoying a leisurely stroll in the downtown area, and we were blown away by the exceptional service and food quality. The Angus Beef Brisket was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor. The Brussels sprouts and the biscuit were excellent additions to our meal, adding a delightful touch to our dining experience.
Atmosphere:
The weather was delightful, adding to the charm of our dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, and we felt right at home from the moment we walked in.
Dining Experience:
We were fortunate to arrive just before the rush as there were no empty tables when we visited last Saturday. It’s a good thing we beat the crowd – timing truly is everything!
Conclusion:
I have no hesitation in awarding this restaurant a well-deserved 5-star rating. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Seal Beach. If you’re looking for a new favorite spot with top-notch food and service, look no further!

The food was delicious. Cute little restaurant. Kind staff. All of this is reason enough to encourage a visit, but the alien themed bathroom is a must see – the UFO light and the alien in the woods wallpaper was so cool. A treasured find.

The brunch here is amazing! We got the biscuits and gravy with a scrambled egg, avocado toast, and fruit. Everything came out fast and tasted amazing. The price wasn’t bad either. My baby is very picky but tried a bit of everything with a big goofy smile. They have high chairs too if needed. Not crowded, zero wait, and the decor is quaint. Back of the menu has lots of drink options to pair as well. We will definitely be back.

A brand new spot in Seal Beach, the food was second only to the service. With a bar inside serving beer and wine, open with an adult beverage before savoring some delicious dishes. Everything we had was great. Going back for takeout with the BBQ feasts.

Excellent food and service! Definitely recommend the Angus tri tip dip bbq sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich! The meat was perfectly done, not too much bbq sauce so you can taste the flavor of the meat. Brussel sprouts and sweet potato fries were also amazing!

While the name of the restaurant may be a little confusing (it’s not “Backyard”, it’s “LALC”), the quality and taste of the food is crystal clear: it’s magnificent! From fall-off-the-bone ribs served in a delicious Carolina-style BBQ sauce to perfectly seasoned shrimp in the salad, everything was terrific!
