Lakeview is a simple little small town Southern restaurant. Their menu is straightforward with some creativity mixed in. (They also offer a daily lunch buffet)
The food is good and served with the smiles and jovial interactions that I love about eating in the South. Madison was our server, and she was a delight.

Lakeview is an excellent restaurant in Waynesboro! I had the cream cheese chicken wrap with garlic aoli sauce and it was delicious. The hand cut fries are great as well.

The fried pickles were perfect. Excellent textured and tasty breading. We burned our mouth we couldn’t wait to eat them. Def let them cool! Dipping sauce was delicious too.

January 27 Tuesday night stop by get something to eat got a booth at the front across from check out counter. The waitress came ask what we wanted to drink brought the water..she never came back after 15 to 20 mins plus me and one other table all was in the restaurant. I tried getting her attention but she was too busy playing with her phone. So we got up walked out. I have been there many many times but that’s it not going to back…spend my money other places..

Staying in Waynesboro because the hotel rates are outrageous in Statesboro this time of year while students are moving in. My wife found the Lakeview Restaurant and we decided to give it a go. Although the view of Waynesboro pond was nice, the food was sub par and sadly was not a good dining experience. We were hoping for better and maybe should have had a burger.
