This is a hidden gem on Madison campus with a beautiful view overlooking the lake. The food is tasty, portions are generous, and prices are very affordable for students. A perfect spot to relax, enjoy good food, and take in the scenery.

This is the hidden gem not on “things to do” in Google Search. We spend 5 hours here with their Live music from Acoustic soft Rock to Jazz ensemble orchestra entertaining us. Lake Mendota is really beautiful even with overcrowded people like in most YouTube videos. This is public tourist build around a University.

Really good good. Had their tender and garden pizza. Tasted great 5-Star. But their drinks ( beer and badger red daiquiri) was terrible. Pipes weren’t the cleanest and you can taste it. Never had a daiquiri that tasted so bad… it just really wasn’t good. Atmosphere was clear, and nice. Highly recommend.

The food was tasty, but menu is very confusing for celiac disease. Sauces are labeled gluten free but all the wings are breaded? Why confuse customers? Don’t use labels if you don’t understand them.

While visiting Chicago We made a brief College visit to University of Wisconsin. We concluded or visit with a late lunch at The Lakefront on Langdon. This terrace lunch spot located at the Memorial Union was well worth the drive from Chicago. The very colligate picturesque setting made our brief respite quite enjoyable. This is a must see on any UW visit. The locals seemed to enjoy the location as well. The service was pleasant and helpful. The cafeteria style menu covered almost all cuisines. I had the pizza special which came with a salad. My daughter had egg rolls and fruit and my wife had frozen yogurt! We shared the meal and sat at the huge landscape window, outside seating was available I like AC, and enjoyed the view of a lively terrace full of coeds and local business folk enjoying the summer. The view of the aquatic lakefront frolicking was very Rockwellien.
It is hard to imagine winter ever visits this lovely summerful lake. Well worth the stop even if your not looking to attend UW!
