Very fun little drive-in restaurant in Winona. The food is just fine and reasonably priced – like a high end fast food spot. Where it shines is the service and atmosphere. Great spot if you want a burger and to sit outside on a nice day, and enjoy an excellent home-brewed root beer. Would recommend!

after a long day of hiking, i wanted to stuff my face with grease and cheese. i found both at this cute lil drive inn! i ordered the california burger with cheese, cheese fries, cheese curds, and a chocolate shake. i really did want some cheese!

It was ok. Alot more hype than necessary. But I did grow up in an area that had alot of traditional drive ins and still have the total nostalgic realness of one from the 50s. Including a couple A &W’s, so I MAY be a little partial. Service was quick and friendly, the home brewed rootbeer was ok, the frosty mugs are always a plus, but like I said, I grew up with a couple small town A&W’s 🙂 No car stalls or speaker menus to order from, just an opening parking lot or you can go inside. Their dairy free, gluten free, vegan soft serve tho?? A 10+!!!! Still trying to figure out what it’s made out of, but such a treat for someone who is lactose intolerant and can’t handle a ton of any kind of sugar, I RARELY can get ANY kind of ice cream!! oh and they do have everyone beat on the deep fried mushrooms as well! Perfect coating not the cheap nasty frozen panko crumb breaded kind!

Great spot!! Flash your lights for old school carside service. Fantastic cheeseburgers and fries! Walnut burgers are great, too! Root Beer is ice cold and delicious! Ice cream is always a win…

While i definetly enjoyed the old school drive in atmosphere and the sitting in your car experience, I felt the food was just okay. the burgers were a little dry and not very seasoned so nothing to write home about. the staff were friendly and the atmopshere is definetly something that makes up for it (especially if you just spent all day moving like I did when I went) so the experience is definetly 40% of the value of going here. Wait time wasnt crazy and rootbeer floats were a nice way to break the summer heat. definetly a good place.

Absolutely excellent. If I lived any closer you might just catch me on “My 600 Pound Life” in a few months. That chili cheese dog just makes you feel like a kid again, like you can really fully appreciate and enjoy something again. The root beer and the ice cream? Oh baby! Oh baby baby baby! If you do one nice thing for yourself get yourself a root beer float! Gahl dern it! Just let yourself enjoy something! Please!

Honestly really disappointed in this place. Was about to leave it a 3 star review but that turned into one star once I realized my gluten free bun wasn’t actually GF, which resulted in a bunch of health issues afterwards. The burger also tasted exactly like a McDonalds burger, but was way pricier. The fries tasted like cardboard, had no salt or anything on them. And the customer service wasn’t good either. We weren’t told ahead of time that it was going to be a 30+ minute wait because of a large group ahead of us, and they just weren’t very friendly. I don’t expect amazing quality from a little drive in, but this was so disappointing. I’m also aware there are risks with gluten while eating out, but don’t offer GF buns if you aren’t going to take it seriously.

Fun spot to take the family – their root beer is fresh brewed and is OUTSTANDING!! We had a burger, fries, and cheese curds. Cheese curds were terrific – fries were good – and the burger was ok 🙂 prices are very reasonable and the staff is extra friendly!
