It was not a good experience. We had a 6:30 reservation for 4 and we were seated early at 6:10. The drinks took over 40 minutes to come out. The sweet tea one of us ordered, came out first then it took another 10 minutes for the other 3 drinks from the bar. Our server came back to our table to confirm our food order long after she took it. She had some confusion about what we ordered. One 5 lb order of crawfish, one Ribeye loaded potato, a dozen baked oysters, crawfish Mac n cheese, and grouper with rice and asparagus. Our server seemed overwhelmed and stressed out. She and the other servers were running back and forth doing the best they could. She finally brought 3 of our meals out. We asked about the 4th meal (5 lbs of crawfish.) She seemed a little confused and said she would go check. If there was an issue of them running out of crawfish, then the ones doing the cooking or management should have been communicating with the servers.
I put the whole debacle squarely on management. Honestly, not every table was eating crawfish like was told to us by one of the cooks. Only a couple tables on our side were. We finally gave up and decided to leave after 3 of us had finished our food and the 4th person in our party still hadn’t been served his crawfish.
What made it so much worse is the owner’s response. I watched her go chat up a couple other tables before she came to speak to us after she was made aware of the problem. We apparently weren’t one of Grenada’s elite so she didn’t think we or our money was worth her concern. She had a nonchalant attitude towards us that was very offensive. She gave us excuses but no sincere apologies. She acted like she really could care less. Maybe she should’ve spent more time helping her staff and making sure everything was running as smoothly as possible. A great manager/owner will read the room and go to the dining room to check on guests and make sure they’re getting the service they need and deserve. Especially in a restaurant with the price-point Lakeside has. I watched her through the double doors to the kitchen while several staff explained to her why we were unhappy. She even peeked out directly at us when we were pointed out. But instead of coming directly to our table, she stopped to visit with a couple tables before ours. We obviously were not a priority to her.
When she finally walked up with the crawfish we were standing up to leave. But her attitude had already done more damage than than the slow service, so we were ready to go and refused it.
None of us in our party are difficult to please and we came prepared to spend money and had things gone differently, our server would’ve gotten a great tip from both couples. She did the best she could under the circumstances and I felt bad for her.
Unfortunately, it was not a great first impression and I blame management for that, not her.
As far as the food we did get, it was okay, not the best, but not the worst. My grouper was small and over-done. My friend ordered the oysters and the loaded potato. They both looked good. My boyfriend ordered the crawfish Mac n cheese. It was okay but it was missing the breaded topping.
Needless to say, we were very disappointed and will not be back.

We are here on 7/26/25. We were excited to hear the Grant Fugett Band!! They were amazing. The atmosphere was fun and lively. The service was slow BUT the place was packed with this particular band playing. We enjoyed the show so much and hope they play again soon!

We ate here tonight 4/4/24 and it’s a little pricey but you can’t believe how much food is on the plate. It was delicious everything we tried. 1/17/26. My wife and I ate here again and just as last time everything was delicious, hot and served in a timely manner. Service was good and so was atmosphere.

The only thing I can say is don’t skip the crawfish! I ordered a loaded potato playing it safe and it was good but when the crawfish came I instantly regretted my decision haha! I’m a local but this would be on the list of places to eat if I was on a vacation for sure, it is worth the money!

Service usually isn’t perfect anyways but tonight really did it for me! Server was attentive to other tables but for us 45 minutes passed by and never once even took our order on-top of paying $40 just to sit outside. Will not be back! And most definitely wasn’t because you all “was busy” there was only three other table outside. Very very disappointed.

When we arrived, there was a table of 10 and us(3) on the outside patio. We sat for 15 minutes and I had to ask for a menu. A little pricey but my cousin recommended the place I figured I would give it a try. The young lady Mckenzie finally took our order after another 15 minutes. We ordered our drinks, appetizers, and entrees at the same time. The entree came with a salad but I had to ask for the plate after another 20 minutes. By this time, people are coming in and being seated. They place their orders and I see they are getting food. The waitress said the kitchen was backed up and then I said well where is the appetizer. She came back with the southwest corn balls in about 15 minutes which were good. We are now at an hour and no sign of my fish platter. Going into an hour and fifteen minutes, my husband received his huge baked potato but it was the wrong potato. I told her I want to pay for what I have eaten and go. Very disappointing. We did not get a second drink in our Walmart plastic cups either.

EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE…I just called in my order when I got back late to town. It was raining. I called to make sure my order was ready, they assured me it was. I started to get out of my car, but the hostess was paying attention, she saw I’m handicapped. She came out in the rain to my car, retrieved my payment and returned with my dinner. Excellent service & food.

Information on internet indicated the restaurant was open on Mondays from 11:00 until 2:00. When we arrived it was closed and the sign on door and outside mobile sign said it was not open until 4:00 or 5:00 on Mondays. Drove from Jackson area to have lunch meeting family from Memphis area. Disappointed that the info on the internet was not correct. Ate elsewhere in town.
