We were hesitant to try them out because of the reviews since the change of ownership. We started with breakfast, which was perfect both days we went there. Ice cream tastes just like before (banana pudding is my favorite) and lunch was amazing! Service was way quicker than we expected (previous reviews) and we will be here quite a bit this summer!

Our food was terrible we got a cheeseburger that was over cooked and dry, cheese fries that felt like they had been frozen up to being cooked, a bright pink hotdog(shown in picture below) that was not cooked at all, I will give them props for not messing up the easiest thing on their menu the onion rings that’s the only thing we fully finished before we couldn’t eat that garbage anymore. The girl that helped us was nice and so was the man with the beard it’s unfortunate that they are giving such inedible food to people.

Don’t be in a rush during the winter months. Slow on food. Slow on drinks and refills. They don’t care about you. Summer time service is better due to more demand from more customers so they have more staff to keep up with demand.

Came and person taking the order was not very pleasant. The place was not busy but took a long time to get the food. I watched my order stay on the counter after it was ready for several minutes before one of the employees noticed me standing there looking at my food. The person who took my order knew my food was ready but was more interested in cleaning their machines to prepare for closing. Finally got my food and my fries were missing. The person who gave me my order was plesant and kindly corrected my order promptly. The food is probably the worst food i have ever eaten. The fish was definitely frozen and low quality and over cooked. This place use to have great food and service and was a hidden gem. It’s nothing like it use to be and its very disappointing. I hope that ownership/ management looks at the reviews that people are leaving and stop making excuses and make some changes. I wont be back

We stopped here on way home this evening. We ordered $40 worth of food and only received half of our order. The only edible things we received were two milkshakes and two chicken tenders (literally). My grilled chicken sandwich was tough and pinkish (did not trust it)…. We used to love stopping here but unfortunately not anymore.

I had 2 hot dogs all the way and the onion rings. Also they have good crinkle fries and hand cut fries. We eat at least 2 meals from here every trip to Kerr lake and it’s always good! Sometimes the service can be a little slow, but the food is reasonably priced and is always very tasty! I highly recommend this place for breakfast lunch or dinner and for their ice cream as well.

Can I give no stars? I waited an hour and got no food! The food is good and it’s the only place in town. Problem is they really are “the only place in town” and to the girls working the window it’s a privilege for you to eat there.
They did tell me it would be an hour wait and I said that I would wait. I paid for my order and waited by the window. After about an hour I asked about my order only to be told that they are cleaning up and not taking any more orders. I showed them my receipt and let them know I paid an hour ago and have been waiting patiently.
They didn’t even apologize. Instead I was treated like I had done something wrong. No one working there seemed to give a damn. I doubt the owner gives a damn. They make plenty of money without me and they know that. This is what happens when a business has no competition.
Remember next time you go there, they don’t need you or your money. They are the only place in town and don’t give a damn about you.

I live within a mile of this place. A few months ago I drove up there to get a hotdog. They were out of hotdog chili. I didn’t buy a hotdog. This morning (Sunday) I called 3 times to order to order 2 biscuits. No one answered the phone. So I drove up there. I ask the girl if they stopped taking phone orders? She said someone was probably on the phone. Not busy at all. I was the only one there. Placed my order. They were out of biscuits! Great! no order placed, again. I’m done.

Wow what can I say but it was awful. The kids were so worried about having a good time our order was messed up. This is the second time and will be the last time won’t be going back. Couldn’t even get the ice cream right. So bad could eat the sundae
