I wasn’t expecting much just looking for somewhere for a quick lunch, was pleasantly surprised by this place. Prices were very reasonable especially for a tourist destination, and the burgers were surprising good! They were huge, cooked to perfection piled high with quality toppings, and served on a toasted brioche bun. The onion ring and corn dogs were also very good. They mentioned that their sauces were made in house as well and they were also very good. Seriously one of the best take-out Burgers I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back! I’m also very indecisive and the guy behind the counter was very patient and answered my questions which I really appreciate!

Cute out of the way location hidden in the back of an old time place. Not much seating but cozy. Our order was quickly taken, and we were asked how we would like our burgers, but all of them came out the same way. Buns were fluffy & delicious. Onion rings were delicious even though when I asked I was told it was purchase frozen. I did not mind. They were very good. French fries were nice everything was hot. Looks like they do a lot of takeout. I would say yes this place is good, but just be prepared that you will get the burger cooked fully, and not medium rare as I asked.

The food was amazing! EVERYTHING was delicious!
We asked for the most ordered item and our server’s personal favorite. We were not disappointed with either.
The cheesesteak wrap with grilled onions and mushrooms with a side of sweet potato fries -a natural cut with a crinkle edge – crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfectly done.
The Jersey Devil cheeseburger was topped with a roasted jalapeno. The sauce was just-right-spicy. We ordered a basket of battered onion rings to share. Both were served with a really good dill pickle.
Both were very reasonably priced at $12.99 each.
We would definitely recommend Lakeside Grill!

Husband and I stopped in for lunch during a visit to the area. I ordered the cheesesteak with a side of sweet potato fries while my husband ordered the Reuben with fries. My cheesesteak was so good with the sub roll being so fresh, making it an almost perfect sandwich. The sweet potato fries were not your typical fries. They were bigger crinkle cut, crispy outside and tender inside. Loved them! My husband really enjoyed his lunch. He is very picky when it comes to Reuben sandwiches and said he would order this again. The staff and service were great!! Highly recommend this restaurant and if we’re in the area again will stop.

We had a very enjoyable late lunch. It wasn’t crowded and we got a seat near the window with a lovely view of the deleware bay. The food was delicious and well presented. Sitting near the windows does get warm as the sun is starting to set. The crab cakes were flavorful and did not skimp on crab meat. The eggs Benedict was poached to perfection. The burger was a freshly made patty with a house seasoning. The clam chowder was thick and full of clams. We will return soon.

What an outstanding little restaurant in smithville. We stopped by for lunch on a Wednesday and it wasn’t busy at all. Clean restaurant and cozy space. Our waiter was so kind and had a great sense of humor.
We got the crab cake melt with a side of fries. We were splitting the meal and they were kind enough to separate it onto 2 plates for us and gave each of us a pickle and sauce. That’s great service.
The sandwich was packed with crab and not overly breaded. It was very fresh and seasoned well. The cocktail sauce compliments the sandwich really well and the pickle was a nice too. Crispy, not too sour, and helped cleanse the palette.
The fries were the bomb. Super crispy and perfectly seasoned. Will definitely stop by again when I’m visiting Smithville!

Stopped in after doing wine tasting at Tomasello Winery and it was just what we needed. Somewhere close to eat and recharge before heading out. Staff was very polite and friendly. It was small but clean and food came out fast. It’s good if you are looking for quick fast food. It’s also byob which was great. There were some tables outside by the lake but i don’t particularly like wooden tables. I had a lobster roll and it was good cold sandwich had lots of big pieces of lobster meat it was pretty tasty. The roll was grilled with butter which made it even better. Onion rings were standard crunchy and tasty. Mozzarella sticks were standard but good and came out quick we were able to enjoy while waiting on food order. Definitely would stop back in for a quick bit if ever in the area again.

Always excellent food at Lakeside Grill!
We’ve been eating here for a couple of years now and have never been disappointed! It’s a small, family owned and operated restaurant and the couple who runs it is so nice! The wife manages the front and the husband is the chef. She is so sweet and friendly and he is a really talented chef: the perfect combination! We’ve had a lot of things from the menu and every single one has been excellent! The Strawberry Delight salad is amazing- I highly recommend it! The strawberry vinaigrette is house made and oh, so good! The Texas burger is exceptional too and cones with a double burger patty and the most perfectly cooked crispy bacon. Their lobster roll is great and so are the onion rings and sweet potato fries. From service, to location, to food, to value, this place is a gem! We make sure we eat there every time we visit Smithville! Two thumbs up from us!!

Lakeside Grill is in historic Smithville. The restaurant is small, about 6 tables inside, with outside seating that is on the Smithville lake.
The restaurant was clean, the food was good, and the service was great. Our waitress was a lady named Danielle, she was so friendly and very personable. She chatted with us just enough that it was friendly and personal but not over stepping or bothering us.
I had the chicken salad wrap with sweet potatoe fries… My wife had the grilled chicken avocado wrap.
The chicken salad had green apples, craisins, candied walnuts, and just a little bit of onion and celery. It was pretty good. Not my favorite but I’d definitely eat it again.
The sweet potato fries (and the regular fries for that matter) had the perfect crisp outer skin with the warm soft Center.
The grilled chicken avocado wrap was the winner though. Absolutely phenomenal! I would definitely get that.
It was the waitress’s recommendation.
