Spacious, kid-friendly casual dining area with a lovely lakeside patio. The service was fast, even on an event day, so they staff it properly. Perfect menu for kids / family.

I had a very disappointing experience at the restaurant inside the St. Louis Zoo. The burger was served completely ice cold, and the fries were the same. The service was terrible, and despite having three drink dispensers, not a single one worked. There were no napkins available, and the entire place felt untidy and poorly maintained. On top of all that, the food was **far too expensive for the quality**—nothing was worth the price. This was my first and definitely my **last** time eating there. I hope they make serious improvements.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Took 20 mins of standing waiting for my sandwich, nobody cared to ask what I needed. Then I get my grilled chicken sandwich and it’s literally ICE COLD. Not even cooked and pink inside. Trying to get someone sick or just don’t care about your job?!? Then I go take it back, asked for a burger instead because I’m not gonna get salmonella from their laziness, I wait another 10 mins everyone looks at me as I stand there nobody helps. The girl who finally helped me was super nice, nothing against her but DO BETTER!

Kids meals were 6.99. Only Vegitarian option was vegetable quesadilla price was around 12.99. Very busy at times. Food was ok, French fries were cold and soggy. Tons of food in the window waiting for busy time. If you buy a meal and want beer for a drink its only a 3.50 upcharge verses a 7 dollar beer on its own. Get more vegitarian options besides fried food.

Great place to stop in and cool down. We went on a super hot day. The heat index was over 100 and we needed a break. It helped us out a lot. The restrooms were cramped and busy but we made it work. They had plenty of tables and chairs to eat and relax. The views of the lake and birds are amazing. I would’ve visited just to see the scenery.

We had lunch here while visiting the Zoo with friends and I was impressed.
This is a large building that I expected to be really crowded given the amount of people at the zoo the Sunday we visited, but there were no lines, seating was easily found, it was clean, and the prices were fair.
We purchased Ceasar salads, drinks, and chips and they were extremely fair priced and tasted great. Fresh ingredients inside and good quality chicken.
We found seats outside overlooking the lake and had a great lunch.
A win! I’d def. eat here again.

For park food it was good and there were enough options to please my whole group. I liked the quickness of it as well as I thought they were one of the most reasonably priced spots in the zoo.

The menu is good with variety you would typically not see at a restaurant in a Zoo. However the ordering and food pickup process is terrible. There are several lines than don’t have a clear markings between them so it makes it very confusing to understand where your headed. The pickup isn’t separate from the ordering so you get people ordering and waiting for their food at the same time. And, it seems like making the food isn’t organized. I waiting 15 minutes for a kids grilled cheese while there were several nachos, hot dogs, and chicken sandwiches just sitting there under the warming self. They should have a separate pickup area (there is space for one), one line to wait in for the food, and possibly a ticketing system to prioritize the cooking. See pictures.

About what you would expect for food at a zoo, but the lines went quick, the people were nice. I’m glad that we brought our own straws and cutlery. We got the burger combo plus a side of cheese for about $13 not a bad price, imo.

All in all, the food was good. It was fresh and that’s a plus. The only thing I suggest is if you’re told it’ll be 5 mins, that you stand there and wait. Otherwise you’ll have to start over at the end of the line to get to your food.
