We started with drinks, but there’s no drink menu. I asked the server about wine options and she seemed lost. I ordered a margarita instead (figured that was a safe bet), but it was super bitter and tasted like old limes, so I sent it back.
I ordered the blue alfredo steak bites and it was delicious. My husband ordered the chicken lakeside sauté. He said the chicken and sauce were great, but the pasta was so overcooked it was basically falling apart like soup, he could not eat it. When we told our waitress, she said she was going to go yell at the kitchen… awkward.
When the check came, the margarita I had returned was still on it. On top of that, we waited over 30 minutes just to pay because our waitress was standing near the kitchen talking and never came back. Two tables near us complained about the service too, and one of them ended up grabbing a different waitress because ours was nowhere to be found.
I overheard someone saying the food is usually great and the service isn’t normally this bad, but since it was our first time, it’s hard to say. The place definitely has potential and the food flavors were good, but the service really ruined the experience for us. Probably won’t be back.

First time here, food was great, I thought the artichoke dip was a little bland, but the fish and chips were great. Service was wonderful, and the outdoor dining area is really nice. The espresso martini was so good, I had to have a second one.

This was our first visit to Lakeside Bar & Grill, and we were pleasantly surprised by the food and abundant servings. Excellent fish and chips, burger with onion rings. Extensive/varied menu with plenty of comfort food dishes at good value. An All-American vibe to the place. Friendly service.

Being in Shrewsbury we decided to try this place. I should have known to leave when I entered and saw the same waitress that also works at the Tuttle post. Believe it or not she’s even more horrible here. EVERYTHING we ordered she did not write down and managed to screw it ALL up completely. She was extremely unattentive and rude. I don’t know why this establishment employees her.
When I spoke to another employee there they just motioned that gesture implying drinking alcohol. She is the reason why I stopped going to the Tuttle post, hopefully they fix this problem as I won’t be returning until the hire a competent staff

This place was packed and I can understand why. We waited less than 10 minutes (we were quoted 15-25) so that was great at 6:30 on a Friday night. The place was packed. Great vibe, happy people. Service was fast and then the food. The boneless wings were so good, the best coating in my opinion. Then the entrees came and wow. I ordered fish and chips with fries and o-rings (both were clearly made in house) the fish was huge. My fiance ordered chicken picata which was perfectly sauteed and the sauce was *chefs kiss*. The prices were so reasonable I thought it was 2015. Can’t wait to go back and bring friends.

I had a small antipasto for lunch. The ingredients were fresh, tasty and well presented. My companion had the RI style calamari appetizer with a side salad, both were good. Most of the seating was bar-height, but we found a low table… which is our preference.

It is always interesting to find a restaurant that is popular among the locals. That should mean good food at good price, or at least I think that is the secret recipe for local’s choice. We heard this is one of those spot, so we went to check it out.
It is a local sports bar, and while we were there, people of all ages kept coming in and out. The inside is not so big, a bit smaller than I expected. It has a long bar counter seating from the entrance to the back, and high table seating throughout the space. They had several TVs on the walls for the sports fans.
We went there for lunch, and we were pretty hungry. So, we decided to share an appetizer first. We had no idea what we were getting into at this point… We ordered Quinsigamond Platter, which was HUGE!!! It was too much for the three of us, especially since we all ordered individual lunch item on top of that. We had Fish Sandwich, Meatball & Sausage Combo Sandwich, and The Brenna Salad. Each one was crazy big portion, and at very affordable price. No wonder they are one of the very popular spots among the locals…
We took home maybe half the food, as it was just way too much for the three of us. The generous portion of everything is just unbelievable. It was a nice lunch, we were completely stuffed, needed a good nap afterwords. The service was ok, friendly and casual. The atmosphere is comfortable, no-frill, and laid back. Its a corner bar. Prices, service and food are excellent for what the establishment is. If you are not social don’t go here. If your looking for a fantastic colorful spot, this is your place. Expect hellos, hi sweetheart, how’s your dad?
