Came in with some girl friends about a month after the first time. Worst experience. The bar tender and a friend were listening to rave music and didn’t even say hello. Every table was dirty except one. While empty. So we sat down at the one available clean table. The bar tender came over and said, “your servers in the bathroom, he’ll be over in a little bit”. Meanwhile, we are staring at the barhroom, since the tables are in the hallway to the bathroom. 10 minutes later he comes out of the bathroom, asks for our drink orders, then heads BACK INTO THE BATHROOM.
He went back and forth into the bathroom at least three more times. At this point we knew we weren’t eating any food there, and left. This set up is soooooo awkward for guests and feels like a fast casual restaurant but they’re trying to be a nice restaurant . The service sadly is just not there. I hate to see another little elm restaurant fail, but it’s going to.
Old review: My husband and I stopped in today for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised! It was smaller than I expected, with only about 6 or so tables. But, the service was great, the bartender super friendly, and the food was phenomenal. Get the flatbread. It’s amazing!
We started with two appetizers: the cauliflower steak and the chipotle raspberry chicken wings. Both were delicious — the cauliflower steak was perfectly seasoned, and the wings offered a unique sweet-and-spicy kick that stood out.
For our entrees, we had the grilled filet (medium rare) and the shrimp Cajun Alfredo pasta. The steak was cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with fresh asparagus and a medley of squash, zucchini, and onions. The pasta dish was rich, flavorful, and loaded with shrimp — a comforting yet elevated plate.
Our server, Olivia, was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. We also had the pleasure of interacting with Inicia, who provided excellent customer service, and Lydia, another server who ensured every table was well cared for. Even the owner, Randy, took the time to greet us, adding a personal and welcoming touch to the evening.
The drinks were fantastic as well, rounding out what was an all-around amazing dining experience. Highly recommend Lakeside Bar and Grill — great food, top-notch service, and a welcoming team that clearly cares about their guests.
The food is truly outstanding. I’ve tried a few dishes now, and each one has been fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a relaxed meal, the menu offers a wonderful variety to satisfy any craving.
Beyond the delicious food, the service is impeccable. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely seems to enjoy making sure you have a great experience. It’s clear that a lot of thought and passion has gone into creating this establishment.
I highly recommend checking out this new gem. It’s quickly become my go-to spot, and I’m sure it will become yours too!
Lakeside Grill in Little Elm is one of those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it spots — only about 40 seats total — but dang, the food and drinks go hard.
The real MVP? That cucumber mint margarita. Fresh, light, and honestly one of the best drinks I’ve had in a long time. I’d come back just for that.
Food-wise, we tried:
• Cajun pasta with blackened salmon — creamy, spicy, and full of flavor. Absolute winner.
• Eggplant parm — cheesy, cozy, and perfectly saucy.
• Ribeye steaks — thinner than expected but still tasty, especially when paired with those ridiculously good Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes.
• Citrus cream chicken — bright, zesty, and super tender.
Service was great, the vibe was chill, and everything came out fresh and hot. If you like supporting small local spots that do food right, this is your sign to check it out.
✨ Cozy. Delicious. Worth it.
