I pulled up in the Drive-Thru this afternoon. Look through the window and the guy that works there was sitting on the other side of the room at a desk looking in a mirror. I’m not joking when I say this popping a zit and I was like I can’t believe I just saw that I’m out of here. How disgusting! Yuck!

This place is excellent! I moved to Elizabethton from Johnson City and couldn’t find a restaurant to replace my favorite Japanese steakhouse Yamato. To be honest I didn’t find any Asian food in Elizabethton that really satisfied me until I tried Lakeo. They have rapidly become my favorite restaurant here and I eat there about once weekly. I get the chicken teriyaki with mushrooms and sweet carrots and it is always delicious especially with a sizeable portion of mushrooms since they’re an additional add on that I can’t go without. Their spring rolls are also exceptional, crispy and flaky with tender cabbage, onion and carrots inside. The experience is always consistent and though it’s drive through only, the food stays plenty hot enough to drive home or eat near the covered bridge park!

My sister and I got to go orders from this drive thru Japanese restaurant here in our hometown last night. I found a hair in my food. I called them and ask for them to refund our money. The lady’s response was to me. Well that happens sometimes. Oh no you don’t say that or allow that to happen in running a restaurant business ever. We will never eat there again. My sister’s lives here and has gotten to go orders there alot. But no more. I don’t know how they stay in business. I don’t see how the health department hasn’t closed them down. Please don’t support a restaurant business who allows things like this to happen.

We ate here for the first time today. This is the best Japanese food I’ve had in this area. The only bad part is that it’s too far away from our house in Jonesborough. lol. We will definitely be back!

Rice, zucchini, and onions were cold. Beef was luke warm. When rice comes out cold it means it’s been sitting in the back in a container and it could contain bacteria which could cause diarrhea. I asked them to reheat my food and this is what it looked like when it came out. The veggies were overcooked after it was reheated. They were out of hot sauce. Lakeo’s is more expensive then the other restaurants that are similar in this area. The dining area was really pretty

Portions are smaller and the sauces are watered down also very watered down. If you decide to try it ask if they will fix it without the watered down sauces even say you’ll pay thee extra. Sad but it still was 3 stars

Rudest young man ever working the window! They charge if you use a debit card & forgot my mushrooms that I paid extra for. No clue how they stay in business this is the 2nd time I’ve had a horrible experience
