The location is hard to beat on the water. Atmosphere overall is quite good. Temperature, lighting quality of table all good.

Wait staff polite hospitable and some plate knowledge.

The food is hit or miss which seems to be a very common occurrence based on the reviews.

Calamari was good flavor and cook yet went cold very quickly.

My miso sea bass was undersized and under cooked. 3 ounce portion for entree is insulting.

First bite slight flake then soft. Broccoli under cooked too hard to eat and with an unwelcome flavor. Side of risotto was hot yet zero flavor. Added pepper and salt to amp it a bit….

Passed on desert and was still at $160 with tip.

Go back ??? Nah

This was my first experience at this establishment at the invitation of some very good friends. Loved the location on the shore of beautiful Lake Norman! The atmosphere was top-notched. Nice ambiance despite not having shades to block out the setting sun. However, the sun quickly hit below the tree-line. The food was so good. My wife and I had the seafood paella, EXCELLENT!! My friend Cheryl had the LakeHouse Chopped salad, which I was told is EXCELLENT, as well. The only issue I had was that the Peach Cobbler was NOT a true peach cobbler. It should be called a Peach Crumble! One of the managers, Dawn, came to the table to greet us. Our server, Brian, was engaging and knowledgeable. Great personality, friendly, and welcoming. Needless to say, I have a new favorite spot. Branzino next time!!!!

The waiter was excellent. The ambiance was wonderful . The bench seats were very comfortable. The salads were tasty. The short rib was disappointing, and tasted like pot roast. My well done was filet mignon was tender, but when I got to the center it was rare. The mashed potatoes were average. The bread was good. We celebrated our Anniversary, so they brought us cheesecake on the house which was appreciated. It was nice to sit and relax over dinner and look at the lake .

I had high hopes for our dining experience at LakeHouse. Someone had told me we should try it, and we had not been since it was Port City, and it was something else before that. Im not sure why all the turnover as the location is amazing, right on the water. First off we ended up changing tables because the 2 top tables can be rather close to the table beside you, and I didnt want to feel like we were having dinner with our neighbor. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the appetizer trio dip (Hummus, Tzaziki and Spicy Feta). I didnt love it. The spicy feta was so salty I could barely eat it, and I tend to salt everything, so that is saying something. The Tzaziki has shredded cucumbers in it, which, ok, I appreciate that it was probably home made, but it was stringy and strange for me. I ordered a cesar salad, which was very basic (I dont believe it even had Parmesean) and it was nearly dry with very little dressing. I also ordered the broccolini and found it lacked flavor, as it was advertised to be grilled, but it just tasted like lemon, which I didnt love. As a vegetarian, my options can sometimes be limited, so I was hoping my choices would be winners, but most of it was left uneaten. The manager came around and asked how things were. I was not going to say anything, because it didnt really matter. I just knew I likely wouldn’t return. However when I said “it was okay”, she insisted on knowing so the issues could be addressed. So I told her. She did take my items off of our tab. That was unexpected and nice of her. I do appreciate that. I decided to give dessert a try, because honestly its my favorite part of the meal. I asked for the dessert menu, but she proceeded to call out like 6 or 7 options. But I said, I’d like to see the menu, and she said “we dont have one because the options always change”. OK, but I need to read or have a visual, as sometimes the ingredients or presentation can affect my choice. So, I declined. I’d say go for the view, the food, Im not sure about.

Love the Lake House.

Arrive around 3 pm for a bite to eat. Sat in the covered patio with a great view.

Started with the pork boa sandwich. Roasted fat back in a sweet sauce.

Then had mushroom Ravioli. The presentation was impressive. All pasta is made in house. Pasta with pig cheek in a light cream sauce. The fettuccine stole the show. The bite was the pasta was so unique and it’s texture held the sauce. The pig cheek brought salt and savory to the meal. All worked quite well.

Our server was wonderful and attentive.

If you need a place to impressive or just have dinner near the lake, this is it.

So this is just an average restaurant trying to be elite….seeing above average plates at PRIME pricing. Always comes down to 3 things. Price, Product and Service.
Already covering Price and Product…..the Service definitely was substandard, and it all started with waiting 15+ minutes to sit in the patio, with no one else waiting. We were told that they working on a table.
Upon being seated, there were only 4 tables sat. I counted 8 employees just on the patio? So confused. Definitely not a concern for staffing, not a concern availability. This issue stems entirely on management and training. We were excited to try this place out. You shot for the stars ⭐️ and I am giving you a solid 2 ⭐️. Unfortunately, I am expecting some sort of subpar heartfelt copy and paste apology and hope to see you again, and we will be better. This really is not for the business. This is for the future customers to set a much lower expectation. I truly wish you much success and hope that things work themselves out.

Came in for lunch with another couple. We were seated on the heated patio, which was so comfortable that you don’t need a jacket. We started with the whipped Goat cheese which is plentiful and tasty.

I had the shrimp and lobster roll with the stack of onion rings which was perfect to fill you, but not stuffed.

The star of the orders was an incredible fillet of fish! It was HUGE and very tasty!

Jillian, our server, was great! Always there to help us, but not pushy at all. She really is a keeper!

We will be back!

We were looking for a new spot for lunch after church on Sunday. We decided to try LakeHouse Wine Bar & Grill since we had never been. We were seated right away and our server was great at explaining the menu as well as answering our questions.

We went with the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Roasted Root Vegetables and the Caesar Salad with Salmon. The food came out within a reasonable time and tasted good. We had to send the vegetables back and get mashed potatoes because of the amount of garlic they had. We enjoy garlic on our food, but the vegetables were coated in it. If you love lots of garlic then you will be fine, but we switched it for mashed potatoes and they were brought out quickly. They also tasted very good! The Caesar Salad was great and the dressing was very lite. I was a bit confused about the salmon being brought on a separate plate since it usually comes on top of the salad. Either way, I put it on top of my salad and it tasted great together. My only issue was the salmon was very well done and I prefer it to be grilled medium. That is on me for not asking before I ordered but thankfully, it still tasted good.

The restaurant being right on the water made for some great views and the entire menu seemed great so we look forward to coming back again!
