Enchilada Poblana was amazing! The rice and beans were great as well as their hot sauce!

I love the atmosphere, the couple who own the business are very nice and keep the restaurant clean! The food was very good and the Margheritas were great as well. Popular Mexican food sold here and also flavorful sauces/hot sauce! Would recommend and go again!

OK – people, here is my official review of Lakefront Cafe: I love this place, and I’m biased… because…. by birth… I am a lover of great food. 🙂 And! I’m also a lover of community, and a lover of the small-town American dream. And, what could be more American than Mario and Claudia’s dream of being a part of this community… ? We’ve known them from “Hwy 57”.. and we know their food is phenomenal. After leaving the highway restaurant they’ve continued to invest in Random Lake and the surrounding area by renovating local homes. Please please please, keep this restaurant and these lovely people in our community by supporting Lakefront Cafe & Mexican Grill. Great Margaritas, Great Food! (My favs: Super Chimichangas: chicken/chorizo, Strawberry Margarita blended with salted rim, and ask for their traditional hot Chile de Arbol sauce…. P.S. super fast internet for the remote workers)

Excellent Mexican food! Everything we’ve tried has been delicious. Great house margaritas, homemade salsas, and sopes that tasted like they were made in Mexico. This is our new favorite restaurant in the area. I agree with others that this is the best Mexican restaurant in Wisconsin. 10/10 would recommend you try it.

Fabulous breakfast on Father’s Day. Great cinnamon flavored coffee! I didn’t need cream, so good for my cholesterol check in a few weeks! Loved the 3 scrambled eggs with onions and jalapeños. Not to spicy!

I totally recommend Midway Eats instead. Better atmosphere, better food, better service, better quality of proprietors.
This place is NOT good. The food and drinks are way over priced with small portions to boot. The term “authentic” has no place here. These are people that had a failed Mexican food business further up 57. They brought he food, same portions, same service with them.
Their goal doesn’t seem to be to serve the people but take from the people. They pass off poor food as “traditional” and these poor farmers believe them. Sad.
$5 a single bottle of beer
$12 a cheese quesadilla with a small tortilla and maybe some sour cream IF you are lucky.
$16-17 burritos on the same tortilla as the quesadilla
Bland rice and beans is the best you will get from these thieves.

the carnitas dinner is pretty good as well could use a bit more seasoning and maybe some lettuce with it

Service was very good. The Cod Fish Fry was excellent. The ranch chicken wrap and the philly cheese steak was also good. Love that you get a choice of soup or salad with most meals.
