This place has fallen off a bit. 1 chili cheese dog, 1 regular dog, 1 cheeseburger, 1 small fry and 1 soda was almost $31 after tax and tip. With the hot dogs, bun absolutely dwarfs the dog. You can easily fit 2 of their tiny hot dogs in one bun. Good tasting but tiny and way too much bread. Burger was decent too but also very small for the price. The easiest way to break it down is that every item was like $6 and change after tax and tip.

Lake Zoar Drive-In is an outstanding spot that never fails to impress. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Hang Over Buster, a mouthwatering delight that perfectly balances savory and satisfying flavors. The generous portions, fresh ingredients, and impeccable seasoning make it a must-try for anyone craving a hearty meal. The friendly staff and charming ambiance add to the overall experience, making Lake Zoar Drive-In a top-notch destination for comfort food enthusiasts.

Soooooo good. I didn’t know what to expect from the exterior but I was pleasantly surprised to see the many, many menu options! Excellent, crispy fries cooked to perfection and the Zoar burger was delicious. Grilled cheese is also cooked perfectly. Prices are definitely reasonable and service was fast and friendly. Definitely looking forward to going back regularly!

We came here for the hangover buster, but we are glad we got the zoar burger as well. The buster is supposed to be one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the state but it was rather lack-luster. The zoar burger however was very tasty and worth a stop if you are ever in the area. Everything in this burger worked, it was just a great combination of flavors.

I’ve been coming here for over 25 Years and I drive 30 mins just to this place. I’ve noticed the past few times I’ve gone the food is not like it was and the service as well. I called in an order before coming and was told it would be ready in 10-15 mins. When I got there I was the only customer inside so it was easy to see what everyone was doing. Part of my food order was already on there back counter already and I sat there another 10 minutes waiting for a milkshake to be made. By the time the shake was ready and I walked out to my car to eat the food was cold. Onion ring order seemed like it was way smaller than what it normally is and the milk shake tasted like frozen milk with no flavor. Unfortunately next time I’m craving a burger and milkshake I won’t be driving out of my way to come back here. Sad to see these old places that were always the best go down hill.

OMG verry upset I haven’t been in so long I couldn’t wait. Then I couldn’t eat the bugar.. They put so much salt on it I took 3 bites and threw it out. Cheese wasn’t melted 2 big onion slices 1 small slice of pickle and it was supposed to be quterpounder the roll was bigger than the meat. . The pastrami and Swiss was good but again more bread than meat not worth $7. Update I did call the owner today very nice guy he is going to give me credit for the hamburger that I have to throw out. Very attentive to my needs thank you so much.

Nice place to eat outside on a sunny day. Burgers are outstanding. Very fresh and taste homemade. Clam strips are meh. Nice and full but I prefer whole bellies. Coffee and vanilla Milkshakes are yummy. Not too thick and come with a wide straw to make slurping easy. We got our food and still waited 10 minutes for the drinks. Not fancy. Some trash around the picnic tables. Very reasonably priced.

This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. Found this place online listed as a great burger place. Took a nice ride to get here and determined its a good burger place. I started with Texas chili and that bad boy had a nice kick to it. Enjoyed it. I had the crinkle cut fries and they didn’t meet any expectation. No flavor. I tried the mac n cheese bites and those were nice. I also had three Bobby burger and it was good to quite good but that was it. Nice girl behind the counter. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 7.2.

I went through the area yesterday and finally had time to stop, especially since it did not appear to be too busy. The staff was friendly. I ordered a hot dog and a small order of French fries. The hot dog was not pretty but tasted better than it looked. I will say at over $5 for a hot dog (not a footlong) that the dogs are a little on the high side price wise. The fries were very good. There was no ketchup in the bag, perhaps I should have asked for some, but not biggie. The area is nice, and I like the look of the place as a whole and generally speaking.
I will definitely go here again, but next time I will be getting a burger of some sort.
I noticed a lot of comments in regard to wait time in other peoples’ reviews, but that was not an issue for me on this visit. Then again, it is February and so I’m sure in the summer, being on a lake side, it must get very busy. You would expect to have some young workers that do their best, but they are still essentially kids.
Overall, a lovely little place!

I’m always pleased with my visits to Lake Zoar Drive-In. The location is nice, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious.
Usually, I come here for lunch or dinner, and get myself a Zoar burger (one of my favorite burgers around) and a cheese dog. Today, I had an amazing western breakfast sandwich with a side of pancakes. I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere else for breakfast any time soon.
Though the prices are a little expensive, I happily support this local gem.
