Walking into this dining room was like walking into a 1950’s ballroom! There are chandeliers, gorgeous wall paper, beautiful wall paintings, a winding staircase, valets, busboys, and a host of individuals all ready and available to serve your every need. Oh, and an exit to a view of the lake surrounded by the mountains. Once you enter the dining area, there are neverending stations such as a breakfast station with a chef creating made to order omelettes, two desert stations, a prime rib station, and seafood station with shrimp, crab, oysters, and even sushi! This was an absolutely unforgettable experience.

Management eventually comped my breakfast but that didn’t make it a good one.

I ordered eggs Benedict but requested pork sausage instead of Canadian bacon. When it arrived the white was uncooked, runny all through. When I asked for it to be redone the server Bridget tried to make it appear that if I wanted the white cooked, I should have specified “poached hard”. I explained what a poached egg should be, fully firm white and viscous (neither too hard nor too runny) yolk. I have eaten eggs Benedict all over Europe, Asia, and North America, and there is no disagreement on this basic objective, but The Broadmoor kitchen and service staff either don’t know or don’t care.

When the eggs came back again, they were slightly improved but still runny. I also detected a brief off-taste in the sausage, so with that I stopped eating after about 3/4th of the first egg.

The restaurant manager came over and again tried to convince me that it was my fault for not specifying Soft-Medium-Hard for the poached egg. So I said forget it.

I am a professional hotelier, owner of a 5-star resort in Asia, Plantation Bay, “a Real Resort with a Real Spa”. While we may not be as fabulous and storied a hotel as The Broadmoor, at least we know how to cook an egg.

This buffet was awesome!! Definitely on the pricey side, but I think it was well worth it.

We came here for my birthday brunch. First, the ambiance is beautiful—they have very ornate decor, an indoor fountain and plants, and a live piano player. It feels like you’re dining in the garden of Eden. The service is incredible too. They’re extremely nice, attentive, and sent me a birthday cake slice which was a thoughtful little touch.

Next, the food. Overall I thought the food was great! The highlights were the prime rib and snow crab claws dipped in hot butter. I’ve never even seen snow crab claws like this at a buffet before! They were definitely of high quality—succulent and slightly sweet. Usually, I avoid the raw/seafood bar at buffets, but I thought the quality was pretty darn good at this one. However, at this price point, I did expect there to be a bit more variety. There were definitely certain dishes that I kept going back for more. But there were also many dishes that seemed basic and didn’t really appeal to me.

That said, I absolutely loved my experience here and would definitely come back!

Had a breakfast brunch on Sunday and I would say after the entire experience and cost, it’s just okay. The service I thought was very good, there is wait staff everywhere. The dress code is non existent, that was disappointing since I came in a suit and some people looked like they rolled out of their bed. The food is what I thought was not great… After parking, lunch, and tip your looking at ~$150/person. I have had some of the best food of my life for far less than that, and there is no food here that remotely comes close to the price tag in terms of quality. All of the fish we had tasted overall fishy, usually means it’s not fresh. The sushi is comically bad, king sooper sushi is better, which isn’t saying much. Desserts are a hit or miss, some of them were great, others not so much. The pancake station is okay, nothing special, eggs Benedict was very tasty, probably the best item there. Their lunch items and meats were all tasty, but if you have ever had a $50 buffet in vegas then it’s literally the same type and quality. I also had the single worst tasting chicken pad Thai of my life, made for a good laugh. If you have money to burn and don’t really care about quality of the food then this is nice enough for you. Everyone else, just save your money.

Truly the most decadent brunch buffet offering in the area. We really enjoyed this post-Christmas splurge.

The reservations were easy to book via Open Table, though I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t help us recognize the anniversary that we messaged them about. Booking is for 2 hours, but we were seated late for our 13:00 booking, so we didn’t get the full time.

Still, the quality and variety of offerings is solid and the free flowing mimosas & bubbly make this a real treat. Besides the seafood, sushi, meats & cheeses, there are endless pastries and incredible desserts. The seafood included shrimp and oysters. We were a bit sad there weren’t crab legs.

Our server, Jason, was fantastic.

Valet parking is included for the brunch, but this wasn’t clearly communicated on arrival.

The hotel is very beautiful and classic so we picked the Sunday’s brunch for a small family reunion in last day of March 2025. Overall food was passable. I wouldn’t say anything stands out.

My oh my, apple of my eye, this restaurant truly does satisfy … We were served by a truly inspirational fellow Virginian. He was just a delight to be around!! The ooey gooey syrup … I taste it in my dreams. The light fluffiness of the pancakes made my mouth feel like it was dancing on clouds. *sighs* why can’t I eat this every day? Someone ship the chap back to Virginia so he can make this meal for me in his hometown! What a delight, and Broadmoor, I’ll be back for you !

Birthday Champagne brunch at Lake Terrace Broadmore Hotel in Colorado Springs. Amazing raw bar and cerviche! West and East Coast oysters, snow crab claws were the best! Booked shrimp, smoked salmon and smoked trout were good. The prime rib was very tender and moist. I mostly ate those items and sampled gyro meat and sauce, a few salads, cheeses and saved room for banana foster and a vast selection of mini desserts. Beautiful grounds to walk around afterwards.

I wanted this to be 5 stars all day. However there were some issues with the temperature of many of the hot dishes and quite a few things that just didn’t feel elevated enough for the price. We arrived at 9:30am and when we started browsing many of the dishes when we arrived were cold unfortunately including sausages, bacon and potatoes. The carvery meats were also not very hot. These things add up when you are paying a premium price. Things that were enjoyable were the sushi, desserts (they had a strawberry mousse dome that was delicious) and we loved the As it stands it was lovely to come and experience the buffet however I don’t know if it was worth the asking price. The hotel and atmosphere are beautiful. It might be more worth it if you arrive right at opening.
