We have been here before for dinner and always been happy! We just had the pleasure of having our wedding here and it was nothing short of amazing. The staff were welcoming and completely accommodating. Food was amazing as usual. This is a must try if you live in Coventry or close by! Highly recommend!!

I co hosted my good friends baby shower here and they were so accommodating and wonderful! My only suggestion would be a sail shade for the patio because the sun can be very brutal, but overall so great! They provided the tables, plates, cups and table cloths. I added the runners, flowers, etc. The manager was so helpful! I would say for a buffet next time I wouldn’t have the tables at the seats, mostly because my guests weren’t the brightest overall a great experience!

We had such a great experience at Lake Taco! The views of the lake were absolutely stunning—one of the most gorgeous spots we’ve ever had a meal in RI. The food was amazing from start to finish. We started with the chili lime chicken bites (a must-try!), then had the pulled pork sandwich and taco salad—both full of flavor and super fresh. Even the kids’ grilled cheese came on thick sourdough with what looked like hand-cut fries—so good!
The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the space is incredible. There’s plenty of outdoor seating with a view (easily over 100 people), plus a huge indoor bar and dining area that could host a couple hundred more. We loved it so much, we’ve already recommended it to a friend for her rehearsal dinner—and we’re really hoping she books it so we can come back with a big group!

Loved this place when it first opened, now it’s just okay. Tacos are great but they need to stop changing the menu so frequently. They keep getting rid of the good stuff. Also, whatever you do, don’t order the apple crisp or blueberry cobbler!!! It’s absolutely vile!!!!!!! To warm the pies, they heat them in the smoker and the apples turn black, and they taste like burning rubber, and the crumble on top taste like a mildewy basement. My husband and I couldn’t even eat it and they still charge us $24. Please don’t waste your money!!!

Lake Taco is located on Tiogue Lake in Coventry, RI. There were plenty of parking and the location is gorgeous. They specialize in BBQ; there is a BBQ pit onsite that was custom built in 2023. They also create delicious mezcal and tequila drinks.
There is a patio dining area, a spacious open dining area, and a bar. When we went on Saturday evening, the place was packed and there was live music. The energy was lively and I love that it’s kid friendly.
We didn’t get a server for a few minutes, I think there was a slight confusion as to who was handling our table. There were 3 different people that came over, so it was rectified; everyone was cordial.
We started off with mac and cheese and chips and salsa for the kids. I had a margarita flight ($16) it was amazing! There were 4 different flavors, bartenders choice, and I liked them all.
For my meal, I got the Houston Quesitaco ($18); it had corn tortilla, chili oil, cheese blend, smoked brisket, onion, cilantro, and au jus to dip in. I liked it, it was good. However, I had a taste of my husband’s and loved it more. He had the Brisky Business ($17) which had flour tortilla, smoked brisket, creamy slaw, pickled onion, and alabama white sauce. Amazing. Overall, we had a great dinner and would definitely go back!

This was our second visit to Lake Taco after a great first experience—and it absolutely lived up to the hype again. Hands down, some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. The platter is not only packed with flavor but also a total steal for the price—it easily fed my boyfriend and I, plus it left us with leftovers for a few days. The meat is incredible-not dry whatsoever and the sides were fantastic. They offer four different kinds of sauces on the table as well (my fav is the mustard based one). Can we also just talk about their cornbread real quick? Cause it deserves a mention of its own in this review. It’s literally like dessert. So so good. My sister tried a bite and had to order her own to take home with her.
A special shoutout to our waitress, Trixie, who was phenomenal. She handled our party of 11 completely on her own and didn’t miss a beat. She was sweet, attentive, and kept everything running smoothly without ever seeming stressed. Truly impressive service.
On top of all that, the location is beautiful—such a great spot to relax and enjoy amazing food. Highly recommend checking this place out if you haven’t already!

Have driven by this establishment pleanty of times decided to stop in and try it out first of all from the outside it looks avarage but once you enter its a lot bigger than it looks from the outside food wise was not sure at first but after great server made sugestions we decided to try one of the sugestions. First of all they say for 2 but the size of the platter could easily go for 4 so size of platter defitninly gets five stars then when it comes to taste i enjoyed the whole meal so again another 5 stars and service another 5 stars great place

Great food, service was great despite the large crowd. Very loud, very open space. Bbq platter was good chicken was dry, but tough for quality control at that level of being busy. We sat at bar and our bartender was amazing, helpful, and apologetic for the little wait we incurred.
