What a fun find. We spent most of the day in Manitou Springs and were headed to Dillon, and guess what…there’s not a lot out there. The bbq was very good with very little fat and good flavor. Good pickles, too. It’s a tiny little place, but there is outdoor seating as well. We were stuffed when we left on pitmaster, pulled pork, okra and baked beans, which seemed just a smidge sweet but i couldn’t figure out why. The decor was a little hodge hodge. Maybe a work in progress. I loved the rough wood molding. Nice staff.

A restaurant where every dish is spectacular. Every dish I ordered tasted delicious. You can tell they have put a lot of love into figuring out the perfect flavor combinations for each dish. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend this bbq restaurant!

We stopped in around 3 pm for a late lunch and were told there would be about a 30-minute wait. Since we weren’t in a rush, we didn’t mind. However, it ended up being closer to an hour before our food arrived. We ordered the 1/3 turkey and 1/2 rack of ribs. The food itself was decent, but it didn’t quite feel worth such a long wait for a relatively small order.
I think the restaurant could benefit from finding a way to streamline how quickly food gets to the table, especially during less busy times. That would make the experience much more enjoyable, because the atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly.

I know BBQ and this is some of the best I’ve ever had. This is coming from a Texan! This place has everything you could want in a fabulous meal. The burnt ends and pulled pork were to die for….and the peach cobbler was divine.

Fat BBQ is phenomenal. Quiet and fun atmosphere. I was visiting with my family in the area doing some camping and dirt biking. We visited with the owner and his family, who were so warm and welcoming, not to mention the delicious BBQ. This is the quality that we used to have out in the KC area. Delicious. One of our sons told us this was one of their favorite trips after coming here to eat. The Dunns are top notch people.

Absolutely the best bbq we have EVER eaten. We had burnt ends , baked beans, coleslaw, brisket sandwich and onion rings. Everything was fabulous! You can’t go wrong. Owner and chef Kerry is super friendly and knows his stuff!! LOVED IT.

I left Colorado springs at 7am on my way to Aspen and decided to drop by for some takeaway.
I took a brisket sandwich, another burnt end sandwich and a potato salad.
Ate them throughout the day with the great views of Colorado, instead of the expensive stuff around Aspen and this made my day.
Meat was amazing, smoky, burnt the exact amount and tasty. Buns and salad were great. And everything was packed perfectly to keep fresh and neat.
It’s a shame I am not going back the same way 🙂
