The Carrina Show invited me to come check out Loteria at Le Jefa. So impressed with the food, the vibe was perfecto and the employees were delightful. Had no clue this awesomeness was in downtown Brenham. Can’t wait to go back. 5 stars!!

Tonight I tried their ceviche special — holy freaking cow it was incredible. The wife got the quesa-taco dinner — four birria tacos with melty cheese and an amazing consume to dip them in. (See pics below)
All in all, it’s our favorite weekend spot, and a must-stop if you’re passing through Brenham Thursday-thru-Sunday.

Spent a few months in Brenham over the last year and this was my favorite place to grab food. The birria tacos were awesome! I also tried the ramen, the quesadilla, and the tostadas and loved them all. I would often get 1 meal to eat there and a 2nd to eat the next day for lunch. There is also a little bar in the same area to get some cocktails at and there was often a bingo type event going on to support other local businesses. The workers are also very nice. Being that I am from out of the area and they wouldn’t see me for weeks at a time, they remembered me each time I came back and were very friendly. Looking forward to my next trip into town to get this again.

We ordered The birra tacos & quesadillas. I didn’t care for either one. This was our first time trying them & the meat just wasn’t for me. My husband liked his, but he eats anything, lol. I read the reviews before going here & they were great reviews. I guess that type of meat isn’t for me. I also thought the juice that comes with it would be spicy but it wasn’t. I wish I would have eaten somewhere else because this place prices were up there!

First, I was looking for a physical address building. Turns out it’s a food truck.
Second, they lost my order. After an apology, I got my order with a complimentary drink. But there was no cheese on the tacos. Anybody can have an off day. I’ll say this, the giris were very nice and the tacos beat Taco Bell into ground with 4 times the meat on each taco. I’ll be back!

The outdoor seating is wonderful, especially on a beautiful day!! The food is sooo good. The staff is super friendly & very hospitable when explain what’s in the food (for us allergic folks). Would highly recommend stopped by

Good little spot kinda tucked away in the middle of everything. Food was delicious albeit a bit slow. The ramen was unique and tasty, and everything else was packed with flavor. The midday vibe was super calm and quiet, but I saw there were a few other stalls that sold drinks, and it appears as though there may be an element of nightlife there as well if we came after dark. I’d be back. The aguas frescas were also a highlight, so fresh!

If you are anywhere near Brenham then this place is worth any drive. I live 2 hours away and I would come back just to eat here. The birria was delicious and the consumé was perfect. We got the agua Fresca which was a berry flavor and was super refreshing. Salsa had two options, green-tomatillo based (not spicy but was so flavorful) and orange (spicy and flavorful). Tortillas were soft but crunchy. 100/10 recommend.
