If you want a quick waste of $50 for buffet breakfast then go for it.
They finally opened back up and they were packed but completely out of all of the meats.
No bacon, sausage, onion sausage, or biscuits on the buffet. Once they did refill them it would only be enough for 2 or 3 customers worth and the food pans would be empty again and then more waiting!
Grits were lumpy and barely warm as the cheese and butter would not melt.
They need to not put the liverpudding behind the eggs because everyone was dropping that stuff in the eggs. Eggs were cold.
Got there almost 2 hours before before they stopped serving and the line never stopped and they kept bringing food out so they never ran out but they were not getting it out fast enough.
If customers are wasting all the food then they need to have a worker serving the meats to make sure they have enough.
None of the fruit got refilled.
They let customers go up and get their own drinks and scoop ice with another glass as we had to ask multiple times for drink refills.
Pancakes were hard as a rock even the kids would not eat them.
If you can’t make food for a breakfast buffet I can’t imagine how the dinner food is.
The lady making the bacon kept dropping it on the buffet line and still putting it in the pan to serve customers. Some was still raw and most was burned.
They might get it together but not worth the drive for us.

Best hamburger around! Looked like a 1/3 pound burger, all the way with fries and a small tea, all for less than $10. They have to be losing money on this! I plan to try the bar b que buffet sometime, for around $13.

Laird’s is a hidden gem. This was my first time and I wasn’t disappointed. I ordered a BBQ sandwich and hushpuppies. The sandwich with slaw and pickles was outstanding. Hushpuppies were out of the world! They were the best I have ever had! My next trip this way, I will make sure I stop and eat. Kristian and Sam made me feel right at home. Don’t pass up an opportunity to experience a great meal. BTW, I did not try the food bar but next time I will.
UPDATE: On my way to see my son, I took a detour to go eat at Laird’s BBQ. This time I had the buffet and it was great. Plus the price is fantastic! Service is very good. If you’re in North, SC, go by Laird’s. You won’t be disappointed. BTW, they are only open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Stopped about 1:45 on Sunday and saw the buffet offerings. Fabulous food at a great price, with a senior discount. Place isn’t fancy, but clean with great staffing and even better food. Don’t know how they keep the fried okra so crispy on a buffet line, but they managed. BBQ, fried chicken and roasted wings all excellent and banana pudding completed a perfect meal!

Really enjoyed dinner at Laird’s my first time. Everything on this buffet I tried, which was a sample of everything I like, was fabulously! My only 2 disappointments were, the squash was cold and cold fried squash is not very good to me but others may enjoy. The other is there weren’t a few more side selections but I suspect that will come as they become more known and busier. I recommend trying this place. It’s definitely worth venturing out through the countryside for. For us, it’s no longer of a ride than going to Shealy’s.

I went for takeout for my son and I. He had the child’s menu chicken leg with fries meal, and I had chicken tenders with onion rings. Staff was extremely kind and personable, wait time was not too long and the food was hot and fresh! Also got large portions for a low price. Some of the best hand battered tenders we have had in a while!

Clean, friendly staff, Sat infront of buffet and it was constantly refilled and spillage cleaned up. Moving from FL, love hearing all the terms of endearment (doll baby) the southern hospitality is refreshing. Had wings and fries they were great. Husband had buffet and it had plenty of yummy options.
