My husband and I had two excellent meals. The best part was how fresh and beautiful the vegetables were. It was a modest quantity, nicely prepared with subtle flavors. I had the Dr Schlachter’s dish (a doctor in the same complex) which was tofu with mushrooms and vegetables. Great for somebody on a special diet that can’t have heavy salt or soy sauce. My husband had beef with vegetables. Again, the vegetables were just beautiful and perfectly done. Server was very friendly and the food came promptly at lunch time. The white rice that came with it was nice and sticky. Prices may be other than what’s listed on the menu so ask if not sure.

My wife worked here years ago and is obsessed with the food. Being from Utah, we only get this when we come into town, so the cravings are huge.

Fresh vegetable plate is great. I hope we can make it back here again. We’re from L.A.

It’s got a nice family operated feel. Customers who are locals from the town would get each other. Really a cool place to watch how old-fashioned townspeople behave, reminds me of how things were back in the good old days where you said hello to everyone and struck up conversations with people to catch up with what they’ve been up to.

Should have read the reviews. THE worst Chinese food of ALL time. Ordered the crunchy chicken and it was crunchy because of all the bones that were cooked in. No flavor. Spring rolls full of oil. Wife had sweet and sour pork, could not even bite thru the pork. Threw most of it away. Should have gone to the burger joint next door. Visiting from the mainland.

20 of us were celebrating an uncle’s birthday and we had decided on Chinese food for dinner. We regularly eat there in group and enjoy the food and the great service.

The best place to eat on the North shore if you are craving asian food. The most healthiest option on the whole island, in my opinion.

Good stuff and nice local/ family vibe. Service was quick and friendly, portions were big enough we had plenty left over for lunch the next day, too. I wasn’t a huge fan of their wontons (just didn’t like the thicker dough they used–personal preference though, because my daughter liked them). The broth in their soup was amazing, though, and the flavors of everything were delicious! If we were staying longer, we’d definitely go back!

I learned of this restaurant on line as it had good ratings. Well, being from the Los Angeles area, I’ve eaten at many good Chinese restaurants including some in the Chinatown district. I’m kind of fussy about pork foo young which is one of my favorite dishes. I’m staying in Laie, Hi and thought I would try this restaurant. I was greeted by a very friendly waitress who took my order. She was very helpful and got me all set up with my take out order of pork foo young. It came with an extra container of light gravy. Well, I must say that this was one of the best tasting dishes I’ve ever had and it was at a bargain price. They have a great menu and I most certainly will be back soon.

A bite of the spring rolls yielded a lot of cooking oil, they are also not filled with enough content with the sweet/sour sauce that is too red. Chicken sliced and piled on top of one another- no special taste and slightly tough. Noodles’ sauce was not enough so some parts are tasteless with the vegetables and chicken not evenly distributed, pale and unappetising. Broccoli with beef. Fried rice heaped together with ingredients- but didn’t seem to be cooked together long enough. If one wants Chinese food, this is not the place to go.
