I visited this restaurant two years ago and unfortunately did not enjoy the food. I decided to give it another chance recently and ordered the jollof rice. Unfortunately, I had a similar experience.

The portion I received was the same as shown in the picture, but the price was $12, which felt too expensive for what I got. In addition, the rice was cold, very hard, and tasteless.

I was really hoping for improvement after two years, but I left disappointed once again. I hope the restaurant considers feedback seriously and works on improving food quality and value.

My 10 year old and myself wanted to try Fufu for a very long time. And unfortunately we choose this spot for experience. Horrible. Place is to close for 10pm; went in around 815pm. And I wish she would’ve just closed early because NOTHING on that BUFFET Style service was appealing. Everything looked dry and old old old. Asked about something I saw on the menu which I thought was Gumbo from the advising; only to find out it’s actually okra.
Okay that’s the start. I okra had 1 piece of FROZEN crab claw and 1 shrimp. The smell of shellfish was so pungent I refused to eat it. Just a sample was ok. And let me state.. Just AWFUL!!. a bunch of slime! The lady that prepared this foolishness stated they were out of crabs so she offered me a placement meat in which I asked her what paired well with the “okra” and she just slaps 2 pieces of meat parts on top! Like, ok??!
She shouldn’t have sold me that bowl of slop! She wasn’t inviting at first, to which my daughter even mentioned it to me. Let’s continue the Fufu was ok . I’ll give another spot a try. Won’t let this first-time bad experience detour us from what may be delicious. Just won’t go here again. Nothing on that BUFFET looked like it ever tasted good. No seasoning just a bunch of greasy dry meat. At least an HOUR AND HALF until closing. She couldn’t cook fresher food for the evening rush?!. Maybe that’s why no one was there!
SIDE NOTE>>> Sometimes you must lose to gain!!

My family had a great experience at Lagos Buka! The owner was great, she was hospitable and friendly. The assortment of food was vast and everything look delicious… We tried the Nkwobi, Asun, white rice with Goat Stew, jollof rice and Catfish Platter(call at least an hour and half ahead to order). Everything tasted good. Also had the Chapman slushy– also delicious!

Visited today and it was so welcoming!
I have wanted to try Nigerian cuisine for years and the owner was extremely warm and friendly. She gave us some tasters of a few different dishes available and they were all absolutely delicious! Very helpful and even talked us through the health benefits of a few different soups!
We tried the beef stew and the Egusi soup alongside the poundo… it tasted absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to visit again to try more of the tasty dishes available! Thank you so much!

Ordered Designer stew “ofada” today but for got red stew delivered. No big deal mistakes happens. Called the restaurant to confirm if their designer stew was supposed to be red stew just so next when I place order I can be sure. She said nope your stew isn’t red stew it’s supposed to be black. So I ask her are you saying I’m lying ? Her response was “oh well I’m just telling you there’s no way you would get red stew well im not the owner so” when I tell you I was so shocked I just hung up and door dash refunded me. Attached is the picture of the red stew I got. Which she never agreed to.

40 some years old and this is absolutely inedible and the worst food I’ve ever eaten. Don’t waste your time with the reviews. I spent 46 dollars on garbage. I literally will be throwing this away vs. giving it to my dog as it would literally harm him as a vet. Beef leg was all bone and skin? Goat meat was all bone and literally wet goat jerky if you could find the meat. Did I order bone? This will be the worst review I’ve ever given, and my wife will never let me hear the end of it as I said the same as others and give them a chance. This is criminal. Literally. You will not last long, and you should be shut down. To say I want a refund is an understatement.

This was my first time trying this place and I am so disappointed. I’ve had edikaikong many times in my life and that was not edikaikong. You need to remove that dish from your menu it had no taste, no meat, just leaf and water. I am from Edikaikong state so I can say this with my chest, that dish did not taste the way it was supposed to at all complete false advertising. I paid extra for goat meat and got no meat just bones, am I a dog?? Don’t waste your money here if you want to try authentic Nigerian food make the drive and go to Wazobia or Rodo cuisine instead at least they can cook.
