Since we opened our doors in 1986, we’ve held a vision for a dynamic restaurant in Wollongong’s most beautiful seaside location, serving fresh and often locally-sourced produce, and offering a quality of dining to rival any Sydney seafood restaurant. Staff were exceptional delivering a friendly and professional service. Had a wonderful window seat so was lovely to have the view of our beautiful lagoon and surrounds.
We ordered the famous Hot and Cold Seafood platter. The cold and hot seafood was delicous.
The cocktails appeared watered down, and in glasswear that a coke or lemonade would be go in.
As I make cocktails often, and entertain often, I didnt feel these were up to scratch.
Thanks a bunch overall it was beautiful.

“OMG, just had the most epic seafood feast at Lagoon seafood restaurant! ️ The food was TO DIE FOR – every dish was bursting with flavor and freshness. The service? Top-notch! Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend the grilled octopus and seafood platter . Thanks to Emily and staff for an amazing first experience here for my wife’s birthday surprise dinner.
The food was vast and absolutely so tasty and fresh with great portions. Sadly we couldn’t fit dessert in but we will be back.
The outside dining location was beautiful.

We came to Lagoon Seafood after 3pm, thinking it would be a quiet time, but the experience was pretty disappointing. It took forever just to be seated because we were told to line up with people waiting to pay their bills, which made no sense. To make it worse, there was a billing issue with the customer in front of us, so we ended up waiting much longer than we should have with two little kids. On top of that, we had to provide a phone number before sitting down, which felt unnecessary.
Once seated, the service wasn’t much better. Staff weren’t attentive – our water was never refilled, and I was asked if I was “still going” while I was in the middle of eating, which was pretty off-putting. For a place that promotes itself as fine dining, the service really wasn’t up to standard.
Food-wise, the hot and cold seafood platter was decent and a good size for two, though the octopus was quite rubbery. The kids’ fish and chips were also decently cooked. Overall, the food was okay, but the poor service made the whole experience underwhelming..

What a lovely restaurant this is. We were warmly greeted on arrival and shown to our table by the window. The Staff were attentive and friendly and our food was absolutely amazing. We’ll definitely be back before the doors close.

We were visiting from Sydney on a friends recommendation and can I say this place was exceptional. The waitress Milijana went above and beyond and the food was next level. I can reccomend the seafood platter for two and the desert was superb. If I lived in Wollongong I would go back weekly because it was so incredible what an experience. Great food, great atmosphere and stunning service.

We haven’t eaten here for several years and we had a voucher to use which was the reason for booking here. On arrival staff were very welcoming and friendly and throughout the whole dining experience all the staff that we encountered were friendly, helpful and very efficient. The food was fresh and delicious and it was lovely to be able to select a variety of things that we wouldn’t usually cook at home. Everywhere was clean and staff were constantly busy taking care of diners as well as looking after the venue.
Would happily return to taste more things from their menu and would also recommend to others.

Enjoyed a lunch by the sea…. Was a tad noisy inside so chose to dine on the balcony… Beautiful Seabreeze was a wonderful backdrop to the meal we enjoyed…
