A Genuine Standout: Farm-to-Table Focus and Flawless Service
This restaurant was a genuine pleasure from start to finish. Their commitment to the farm-to-table model is clear: the garden tomatoes in our salad were exceptional, delivering the vibrant flavor we remember from local, seasonal, tomatoes from years ago.
Our entrées, venison and duck, were both outstanding.
The wine and drink menu was perfect for the food and the highlight was an after dinner 10 year old tawny port.
The service was genuinely hospitable. The team were professional, helpful with suggestions, and consistently unobtrusive while we dined. The visible presence of the General Manager, who greeted us and seated us and checked with us periodically to be sure everything was going smoothly, was great. . A truly delightful dinner—we plan to return soon.

Lagniappe is an unassuming restaurant offering a fantastic dining experience. We walked in for a relatively late dinner on a Thursday night. The staff was cheerful and welcoming. It happened to be 1/2 price wine night, which was an added bonus! We started with a bottle of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. The dinner menu had many unique options. After ordering, we were served fresh bread and “a little something extra.” The scallops appetizer was done perfectly. The mains came with choice or soup or salad. Both soup options that night were delicious – curry chicken or clam chowder. By the time our mains came, I was pretty full. The presentation and flavors were top notch. My hubby had the duck breast and I had the Wagyu beef. No room for dessert, but I would have ordered the ice cream torte. Wonderful, cozy, intimate experience!

Can’t believe it took me this long to go here. I’m so glad we found them on the only day they do lunch service. Charming little place with limited number of seating and fantastic food. The lunch menu changes every time. We had the steak sandwich and veal, both are fantastic. Looking forward to coming back for dinner service.

The bread with butter, oil and hummus at the beginning of the meal were tasty, the wine was delicious, as was the quiche, potatoes, and scallops. The soup was decent. The steak was a bit overcooked and the perch was difficult to eat because it had a lot of pin bones in it. The flavor was good though! I would love to see a bit more attention to detail in the preparation of the dishes.

After learning the existence of this place, we decided to try it. The tentativeness of the first visit was blown away by fantastic service to start with when we did the reservation and felt welcome. It is a cozy place but was warm and well lit when we went on an extremely chilly evening. Food is elegantly prepared and there is a special vegetarian menu that you can refer and call in early to request the chef to keep it prepared. Patrons here are all frequent visitors. The options for food is pretty large.
PS- we went back in two weeks again for the new year dinner. Worth it.
