GOOD: The burgers and fries, the service was also wonderful.
BAD: Not much, a little pricey but if you stick to the sandwiches, given it’s beach town, the value is reasonable. Other menu items get into the 30s quick and appetizers are steep.
Lager Heads was on the agenda from some restaurant research. Iam glad I tried it – the burger felt like a 1/2 pounder, juicy and seasoned, yet still cooked perfect. The fries are seasoned, very crispy and came with the burger which I liked. They had a great line up of burgers, I’d love to try another. The Knockout burger was fantastic, but the Cowboy burger on texas toast sounded great as well. You’ll quickly leave the 17 to 20 dollar range if you leave sandwiches, but the service, the portions, and the quality make it worth a treat. It was February, so I couldn’t partake in what looked like great outdoor seating. That’s something else I’d like to try if I returned in the summer.

They advertise having the best burger, so I decided to give them a second chance—and I’m so glad I did! On my next visit, I had an awesome burger with blazing hot fries. Lager Heads is a solid choice if you’re in Virginia Beach and want a decent burger. Nothing overly upscale or out-of-the-box, but satisfying enough to hit the spot. Half our table got old, lukewarm fries, but our wonderful waitress Katherine noticed right away and brought us a huge pile of fresh ones—which were so good I almost wish she hadn’t because I couldn’t stop eating them. We also tried the beer cheese pretzel bites, which were fine, but the beer cheese sauce itself was pretty bland.
Overall, it’s a good spot to bring the family for dinner without breaking the bank. The real standout is the atmosphere—it’s literally right on the boardwalk, so you can enjoy the beach vibes while you eat.

Burgers are delicious, and service was great. When we got our first burgers the fries with them were cold, and we had to wait for the fries for the last ones because they were making a new batch. Our server must’ve overheard our fries were cold because the next thing you know she’s bringing over there big bowls of fresh fries and they were great. Only con was that we chose to sit inside to get away from the wind and one big door was left open so we still got some gusts every now and then. Still a great time.

Definitely a good vibes place perfect for dinner date by the ocean/ boardwalk. Yummy drinks and apps. Good smells coming from the kitchen makes us want to go back for more menu items… We ordered the triple cheese baked Mac n cheese, southwestern egg rolls were both devine and the wings weren’t bad either!

I’ll start with the crab stuffed flounder- very bland, the rice was the same – the asparagus however was the highlight. It seemed like no spices or flavoring was used for the latter.
Secondly, the signature crab cake app is just a crab cake with a lemon and a taste of sauce. A creative way to charge more for a crab cake and no way worth the 18$.
The mahi sandwich we got blackened was one of the better meals we ordered but still, lacked some flavor.

Some friends and I went here during a break from our sand soccer matches. We were seated promptly, nice outdoor seating area. I got the Bahama mama, very good flavor but pretty weak. Our waiter, Cash, was very attentive and friendly. Food was pretty good. I got the spinach dip as an appetizer and the steak tips as my entree. The chips and dip were amazing, it was hot and fresh. The table devoured it. The steak was very well done, wasn’t a huge fan of that. Overall a good experience, the inside looked very nice when I walked through.
