Great wee find in Geneva for pizza and pasta. Our waiter was lovely, very friendly and very helpful, explained the menu to us perfectly . Food was really good and prices were reasonable, will revisit next time we’re in Geneva

Cozy spot for a pizza dinner. The menu isn’t huge but there’s a good selection of toppings you can add to customise your pizza. Well made and the small size is great for one. Super quick service and very reasonable prices.

Pizza are more like the Chicago style deep dish pizza with a very thick dough. But fast food quality. Ingredients on top do not meet the quality standards of the place. Service is weird the guy is quite familiar with clients.

I have been eating at L’Age d’Or for more than 30 years about once a year at each of my annual visit to Geneva (except last few years during covid). This last visit was probably the worst, service was amazingly rude (both of the servers on the patio) and the parma ham pizza, which I am eating as mentioned for 30 years, was …off. I could not put a finger on what went wrong but it is not what it used to be. The ham is the same, I think the tomato sauce is the same, the dough was a bit different maybe and probably the cheese as well. They are very tiny deep dish pizza, you normally need 2 for a full meal. Far away from a real neapolitan pizza but unique in their own genre and I crave them each time I am in Geneva. I will be back hoping the off-taste was a one-off, as there is no other reason to go there. Last time I was there in 2019, service was cold as expected in Geneva, but this time it was bothersome. It is a pity because these pizzas are good, normally, unique for sure, and the setting is very nice. Service has always been famously cold but this time it was bad.

Friendly enough, pizzas came in smaller sizes which was useful but not Italian pizzas as we know them. We had a salad nicoise without anchovies which was disappointing as it was loaded with capers and so much dressing that the lettuce was soggy. Not enjoyable. Difficulty in getting served with a second drink but in fairness they were busy.

Ok pizza, although not sure that the mushrooms were fresh? Looked more like coming from a can.
Very small pizza although I lrdered the « large one ». The waiter was also in a hurry. It was like « I would like to have a large pizza, the… » then he cuts me and says: « which one, the « pizza maison? Or »?. The restaurant was not even busy, it was on a Monday.
Finally, the poire chocolat was bad: really coming from a can.

A nice little restaurant in an old-fashioned style. The Margarita pizza was delicious. We had a nice chat with the lovely smiling waitress, she made our day. I would just recommend that they make menus in English, for the sake of other tourists 🙂
