We came for a celebration dinner & were able to take advantage of their BYOB policy! They offered to put our wine on ice the moment we sat which was great. I have a severe dairy allergy & Im vegan which I informed the waiter(s) about, and they were able to make me a special dish with hen of the woods mushroom, haricot vert, cherry tomatoes, spinach, & rigatoni! My partner had the lemon crab pasta. We both enjoyed our food thoroughly! They offered a berry platter for dessert and took off the cream, but forgot the dairy carmel base which did almost poison me, but the waiter took it off the bill so I appreciated that since it did almost poison me lol. Overall besides that pretty nice atmosphere & service & food!

This Italian restaurant was a fantastic find! One of the most unique and convenient aspects was their wine ordering system—your selection is delivered from a place next door within minutes, making the experience seamless. The food was excellent across the board. The mussels appetizer was incredibly flavorful, and the fish I ordered was the best I’ve ever had—perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Service was quick, friendly, and informative, making sure we understood everything about the menu. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Laboratorio Kitchen is so spectacular that I don’t know where to begin. Start to finish, it’s just perfection and joy. Last night we had the fig and Gorgonzola crostini and the tuna crudo for starters, linguini with crab and the scallop dish as our mains. My God. What I find truly special about this gem is their pasta dishes are artisanal. You’re staring at this generous portion of pasta saying to yourself, “okay, I’ll have some but obviously I can’t finish it all because it’s pasta and it will feel heavy.”…but instead you end up wanting to devour every last bite. Such fresh ingredients, everything sitting on the plate was placed with intention and care. Bravo to the chef.

Great service, Sam at the front of house is a doll.
The perfect spot to hit before a show at the Wellmont. Run don’t walk, you won’t be disappointed.

What a wonderful restaurant. Very classy and upscale while still feeling relaxed. The food is incredible! The pasta dishes are out of this world. All fresh homemade pasta. I haven’t tasted linguini like this in years. They also have a delightful selection of custom salads. I had a crab salad and it was amazing! I really enjoyed our time here. The seating is nice around the entire restaurant. Super glad we came and will definitely come back.

We were looking for a place to grab a nice dinner while traveling and discovered this restaurant because of positive reviews. I have to say it lived up to them. We had no idea it was byob, however they have a system where you order your wine and it’s delivered from a place next door in minutes, which wad quite convenient.

The food was all very good, the mussels appetizer was delicious. I got the Fresh Pappardelle with veal and beef meatball which honestly was one of the best meatballs I’ve ever had. And the pasta was very good as well. We also had the risotto which I thought was good. The service was also good and quick and explained everything to us. Definitely recommend!

The food is tasty and what I would describe as the total of the sum of its parts (not more, not less), and the service is fantastic. The bread to start is lovely and served warm, and it’s BYOB.

Bread served with a giant slab of butter either salt on top: crusty, warm rolls…delicious

Mixed green salad with cranberries, walnuts, and vinaigrette: yummy, tangy dressing; an excellent version of what you would expect

Spring special tagliatelle with duck bolognese: good, sum of its parts but not more. If you made it at home, you’d be happy.

Spring special linguini with lump crab and local corn: if you get everything in one bite, it’s great, but otherwise, it feels like it could be better. I’d be really proud if I made it, but I would also only expect it to be exactly what’s described in the name of the dish.

Service is fantastic. Everyone is incredibly nice, and they do a great job at clearing dishes/utensils and filling your water, etc. I would come back for the lovely service alone.

Still my choice for “best in town.” Such a calm, comfortable experience, from the room with its banquettes, soft lighting and adult music to the quality ingredients (large scallops, steak frites, hen of the woods) and array of pastas (duck bolognese). Preparation isn’t showy, just delicious and reliable. And they know wine service. There are flutes for sparkling and bowls for Burgundy. Decanting was done perfectly and even rebottling without a funnel. This is a place you can have a conversation and some of the best food in town.

The food varies from dish to dish, some excellent, some very good, and some just so. The service is excellent throughout. The atmosphere is hindered by the level of noise, you cannot speak across the table. The cost is very reasonable. BYOB

We were impressed with the food and service during our first visit last year. Before going home back to Dallas, we had a chance to visit again. This time we were a party of nine. As expected, the food was superb. One of the best mussels, pasta, etc. we’ve tasted. And my salmon was cooked to perfection. Service was a tad lower though.
